Walker's Bluff Casino Resort

the property is very new and well done with elegant rooms. The surrounding countryside is peaceful and the staff were very nice. The restaurants were not so much for our taste. We did not make it to the winery but that looked very lovely.

Walkers Bluff is very Beautiful decorated resort. Staff friendly. For a brand new resort the shower was Not impressive, water pressure was terrible. For a 4/5 star resort should have had a top notch mattress, the mattress was lumpy and not very comfortable. Pool area was very nice, outdoor pool, which we did not use as it was cold outside.

Liked the atmosphere and the staff...didn't like being out in the middle of nowhere..no shopping or things to do other than the ******

Property was great. Very clean. Secluded location. Felt very safe. Friendly staff, very friendly. Excellent atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

This hotel is so new it still has the "new car" smell. Employees well trained to be friendly. So new the check in took longer than expected, but, as I said, very friendly when explaining the delay. Ultimately the room was not ready but we were allowed use of the pool:hot tub area. While at resort we enjoyed the spa, the fine dining (Ruthie's) ******, and lunch restaurant (22and Vine) which were all very nice.

Fairly new hotel, very clean and comfortable. Staff was new but very helpful. ****** is in same building , also has a Winery close on property.

The immediate area around the ****** is very nice. The ****** was impeccabley clean with the best staff I have experienced. However the surrounding area in and around the city of Carbondale is blighted with derelict buildings and high crime. I remember when Carbondale was a nice area at one time. What happened?

The hotel is new so it should be clean. It was! All the people we came in contact with were polite and professional. The machines are “tight”, but a nice selection.

We were in the area touring SIU with our son. The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were large and the staff was very helpful. The only negative I have to say, the water pressure in our room was not great. They have a pub/bar which is connected to the ******, so we were not able to eat there with our son. I wish they had another restaurant connected (besides the steak seafood place), or a separate entry to the pub so my son would have been able to eat in there as well. My husband ended up grabbing food from the pub and bringing it up to the room for all of us.
