Beautiful location with a poorly designed and executed hotel. They have both tried too hard and not hard enough. The hotel is uniquely twisted around the lava taking advantage of the landscape but not accessible from within. You want to go to the 20th hole restaurant -can’t do it without leaving the building and walking around convention space. You will realize this only after walking into many dead-ends. Poor directional signage inside makes it difficult to navigate. The poor construction quality and finish work leave the building feeling like a glorified sub-brand. The food quality was terrible in the 20th hole restaurant. Mentioned this to both the server and reception with barely a shrug of acknowledgment. Stood at reception for 15 min while the desk agent worked at a back terminal -fully seeing our presence without actually acknowledging that he would help us at some point. Construction still going on all around. Starts @ 7:30 am. Hope you don’t like to sleep in. This is not the luxury hotel they are marketing.

This place is AMAZING!!! Super unique part of the world! Views are incredible. Super close proximity to the incredible Snow Canyon. The golf course is one of the best I’ve ever played. Conditions are incredible. The course itself is challenging but playable. Very fun course layout. Can’t beat the course views and the lava rock. Highly recommend for a family vacation or golf outing!

Wow. Just wow. Hard to believe that the place you stay could somehow compete with the remarkable surroundings of St. George, Utah., but Black Desert did. A remarkably designed, utterly beautiful resort nestled in the middle of the gorgeous red rock cliffs and black lava. The beautiful green golf course is cut into the black lava adding to the tableaux. This is a world class resort in a very quaint yet utterly captivating place. Like they know the rest of the world will soon discover just how awesome southern Utah is.

I had high hopes for this resort and while I know it's not complete, it still exceeded my expectations. The setting is breathtaking. The views are amazing. The golf course is unbelievably beautiful!! The staff are so helpful and always available! While We can't wait until this resort is fully complete....don't wait you will miss out on a wonderful resort!!!

We held our annual investor event here and it was amazing. Although the resort is still coming online in phases the facilities were top class the service was 5 star. The rooms are the nicest in Southern Utah and each of the restaurants were excellent. The catered food and service was better than expected and this is all without mentioning the golf course. The golf course is the best in Utah and maybe the Southwest. It’s so unique and well conditioned. Food is included and the staff is incredible. Overall would recommend to anyone and can’t wait for more things to come online.
