This is your only option for accommodation in this tiny town and it's much better than I expected. Let's get the big things out of the way. THERE IS NO WIFI. You need to figure that situation out for yourself by buying a sim card from Tusass or getting your own data plan. I use KeepGo wifi hotspot and it worked well enough to stream Youtube. Next, the kitchen is well equipped because everything is self catering. There are no restaurants in town. The best you can do is ask the owner to arrange a dinner with a local family. Polar Bear, Muskox, and seal are on the menu usually in the winter. The IS A MICROWAVE. This is key because you can bring food from home if you'd like (good idea since that's what most Greenlanders visiting the city do). There are actually two kitchens since the guest house is quite spacious. The rooms are basic. You won't be spending much time in them so don't expect much. The best rooms are the ones located upstairs and the room for couples on the first floor. Choose those if you have the option. There is a bathroom with a flush toilet. You cannot flush anything besides bodily waste down but this house has one of the only flush toilets in town. The shower is nice as well all things considered. There is a washing machine and the detergent was available for community use. Don't expect luxury but this is a very solid offering. Regarding the location, it kind of sucks for a tourist without an ATV or snowmobile. It's uphill from the only general store, Pilersuisoq. When I say up hill, it's really uphill. If you have mobility issues and aren't in decent shape, getting around may be a problem. You will need to arrange transport with the owner possibly for a fee. Walking to and from the store was not pleasant for me especially when my boots didn't have traction. I put some yaktrax on and the problem was fixed. In the winter, the helicopter might not be available and a snowmobile transfer for the 50 km distance from the airport can be arranged. If you have a lot of baggage, the fee is cheaper than the helicopter and the experience is thrilling but cold.
