Residence Inn Dallas DFW Airport South/Irving

REVIEW: RESIDENCE INN We stayed here for a stop-over. Unfortunately, we ended up at the wrong Four Points on the North side. We called for the free shuttle from the airport and didn’t realize that we called the wrong Residence Inn. They say 1st impressions are everything. We arrived at the North Side and the front desk could not find us in the system and that’s when we realized the issue. They told us they could not take us to the Residence South side because it was past the miles they could travel. So guess what? We had to take a uber to the South side. Btw, I’m glad we chose the South side. Anyway, in my opinion, that is bad customer service considering they are the same company, the 4 stars. Anyway, we arrived at the South side and they said the North side should’ve taken us. Hopefully, no one else makes this mistake. The front desk was an absolute breath of fresh air. Ruby was so warm and welcoming and check-in was smooth. Our room was upgraded from a one bedroom suite to a two bedroom/2 bathroom suite. It was very spacious which I loved. It is an older hotel and not very modern, but it was clean and worked for us for the night and we slept comfortably. For dinner, they recommended Aspen Creek grill and they give you 10% for staying at the hotel and the shuttle picks you up and drops you off. Raymond drove the shuttle and he was friendly and gave great information of Texas. Their breakfast is GREAT!! Good options and the kitchen staff were amazing. Overall a good stay!

My stay at the hotel was exceptional. The front desk staff was super friendly and accommodating. The hotel was clean including the dining areas for breakfast. The hotel has an indoor pool, fitness center, and outdoor basketball court. The hotel is currently being remodeled but there was minimal noise. I would definitely stay again.

I have traveled 9 months of the year for the last 5 years and have stayed in hundreds of hotels. This may be the perfect one. I could find absolutely nothing to be disappointed by. It is clean, quiet, with a well lit parking lot, a STELLAR, attentive staff and THE BEST complimentary breakfast I have ever had in a hotel! The eggs alone are spectacular...moist, flavorful, and fluffy. I believe the hotel was rated at a 4.3, which is severely off the mark. I find that hotels near airports tend to be rated lower for some reason. Room layout makes you feel as if you are at home. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. Superbly managed!

This is an older property close to the airport that is in need of renovations. The lobby and the hallways lead you to believe you will be walking into newly renovated rooms but once you get into your room you find this is not the case. The furnishings are old, scuffed and warn and the tiny tv’s in the room look like they haven’t been updated since flatscreens first came out. The couch in the living room was very uncomfortable and seemed like it was missing the back pillows. Planes fly right over the hotel so the rooms are loud so if you’re a light sleeper, I’d recommend avoid this hotel. The rooms were clean and checkin was quick and efficient. All in all, the hotel was fine but there are much better hotels in the area for the price do I’d avoid this location in the future.

I stayed for about 4 weeks during some aviation training, the facility was very clean and great service, all front-desk staff as Hilda and Audrey so gentle, all of them were very diligent and well service-oriented. The shuttle driver Adriana was awesome, we loved her, always sweet and smiley, she is the best, special thanks to her. Erick Colon the manager was a great guy too, just a little more focused as an "employee supporter" than a "customer supporter", it's ok to defend their employees but he must know that not always they are right or behaving properly, sometimes the guest is right too. Another disappointing event it's that he (Erick) told me that all phone calls inside US are no-charge and at the end I was charged with 16 dlls in my credit card (incidentals) due to 3 or 4 phone calls to local restaurants to make the reservation for the new-year-dinner, after I noticed the bank balance I called back to the hotel to ask about the incidentals charge and they told me that only local calls are free, so now I feel scammed because I asked him this specific subject that day, otherwise I'd use my mobile phone from which I can make any call for free. Housekeepers like Imara (if I remember well her name) and maintenance was great and helpful. All the breakfast girls was very kind and every morning they took care of me very well. The Gym and the pool was good, the washing machines were brand new and laundry area very clean and OK. There was a rude afro-american driver who start yelling at me, a very small private misunderstanding he converted it into a huge public problem and even he continued yelling and scolding at me in front of other people... it was completely unnecessary and uncomfortable.. at the end I was the one who had to apologize to him to avoid more trouble or "hurt feelings" to these guy, he turned all the situation to convert himself as the "victim", I was completely bewildered, so now, I see that as a guest we have to treat very carefully to these fragile employes and not the other way... beautiful! But anyway, I would choose this hotel again for a long stay and I really recommend it to anyone, perhaps the best Residence Inn I have ever stayed before.
