This new home sits inside the park gates just a short drive to Yosemite Valley. Completed in January 2020, this elegant home features vaulted ceilings, expansive windows providing lots of natural light and an open floor plan. In this setting the high-end appliances and finishes make this a truly lovely getaway. The home is filled with wood custom milled from this site, from the cabinets to the furniture, created specifically for this home. Yosemite West is a great place to stay for visiting the Park. It is located within the Park gates and 10 miles from Yosemite Valley. This property, located at the end of the Yosemite West Community, backs up to miles of undeveloped forest. The balcony overlooks the forest and is a wonderful spot for privacy and to enjoy serenity and the stars. You will have great parking and easy access to this home with everything you need to have a wonderful stay in Yosemite. I live in the lower apartment roughly half time and have a completely separate entrance. The Yosemite Mountain Hideaway is a Craftsman Guest House with the best privacy and views in the area. Our excellent reviews reflect our high standards for quality and service. Rental of the Hideaway includes a required and limited Yosemite National Park vehicle access permit. Guests must still pay the Park Entry Fee.The Hideaway is following current COVID-19 Health Guidelines with detailed cleaning, disinfecting, using HEPA vacuums, and a new HEPA Air Purifier sized for the guest house. All the linens and pillows are washed or changed for each guest stay. Detergents are used for cleaning, EPA/CDC approved hydrogen peroxide (asthma safer product) is used for disinfecting and windex products for the glass, windows and mirrors. The Mountain Hideaway is full of designer grade appointments with CAL King bed, whirlpool bathtub, full kitchen, dining room, and private deck with barbecue. The Hideaway has central air conditioning and designated parking for a perfect retreat.The comfortable living room includes remote control fireplace, HD satellite TV with networks, cable news, HBO, sports, movies, and Sirius radio. WiFi is included at the Hideaway. We have the Starlink system with high-speed internet allowing video streaming from your favorite providers on your own devices.A full kitchen and breakfast bar is provided with all the cookware, plates and utensils you'll need for a quick breakfast or gourmet meal. It's complete with gas stove, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. The dining area is surrounded by 180 degree mountain views.The luxurious bath suite includes a 6' whirlpool bathtub for 2, Italian marble shower, radiant floor heat and morning light through private windows. The Hideaway is located in a forested mountain community within the gates of Yosemite Park.The Hideaway is a luxury house for 2 but can accommodate up to 3 with the extra guest sleeping on a portable mattress on the floor in the living room area. Our property is a unique home and may not be suitable for children under 4 yrs old due to open stairs, fireplace and steep mountain terrain surrounding the Hideaway. There is a $25 or $35 (depending on the season) per night, per extra guest for the 3rd person or child staying at our cottage. The floor plan is an open design with bedroom above the living room. Due to COVID-19 Operating Guidelines, only 7-day stays may use the laundry room in the cottage. Check in and Check out times have changed due to the additional time needed to clean and prep the cottage for your safety within COVID-19 Guidelines.Check-in is at 5pm and check-out is 10am. We will accommodate other check-in requests if possible. Plan on additional time to drive thru the Park to arrive at the Hideaway.Yosemite Mountain Hideaway is located at 6000' elevation in Yosemite West. This unique community is located within the gates of the Park with the best central location for day tripping to Yosemite Valley, Badger Pass Ski, Glacier Point, Wawona and the Big Trees.The high county of Tuolumne Meadows is a 90-minute drive thru mountain vistas, high alpine lakes and forests of giant sequoia trees.Skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing are a short drive to Glacier Point where you can rent all the gear you need for an epic winter adventure. Cell service is very good for Verizon at the Hideaway. There is no Cell service for other carriers. Sorry, it's a remote mountain location. Amazing property on the Merced river near the Wawona Hotel inside the South entrance to Yosemite. Walk less than a minute to the gorgeous swimming hole with a large jump rock directly below the cabin. Swim all day from May-October. Hot tub on the deck. Play golf at the Wawona golf course. Have a beautiful dinner and drinks at the Wawona Hotel. Enjoy the Yosemite visitor center and take a horse and carriage ride. Hike endless miles of trails and waterfalls near Wawona Dome. 20 minute drive to Glacier point. 40 minute drive to the Yosemite valley. 3 good size bedrooms with the ability to sleep 2-4 per room. 1st room has king bed. 2nd room has a king bed. 3rd room has 5 twin bunks. Living room has 3 couches.
