Nestled on the south shore of Maple Lake, you can enjoy all the amenities of life on a quiet lake outside your front door including two docks, canoe and paddle boat in the summer as well as easy access to snowmobile trails in the winter.One of the "Three" lakes, Maple Lake boasts a 131 acre spring-fed lake in the heart of town with a public beach and boat landing located just west of the cottage. Whether guests wish to enjoy a calm paddle or water ski, Maple Lake has a private lake feel since it is not connected to the Three Lakes Chain--except by canoe/kayak portage into Townline Lake. Fish species include: musky, panfish, largemouth bass, northern pike, and walleye.Gibson's Getaway is one of several privately-owned cottages that line Rising Moon Lane on a secluded 4-acre shared property along Maple Lake. Guests at Gibson's Getaway have access to a shared private dock and waterfront, large yard area in front and back of cottage, parking for 2 vehicles, and an individual picnic table. ​This is NOT for you, if you're looking for a place to stay up late and make lots of noise, invite crowds of people over to party and get rowdy, or you plan to trash the place and leave it a mess.This IS for you, if you're looking for a place to relax in a cozy, no-frills environment, where you get to enjoy the simple things in life, away from the hustle and bustle.Guest Access:Guests can use the front and back yard areas for games, laying out, etc. An aluminum canoe and a blue & white pedal boat are available to use and located on the sandy area by the docks.
