About this spaceThe Small House is anything but small when it comes to comfort and relaxation. It is located in the heart of Nellysford near a local grocery store and restaurants. Close to many hikes, the Blue Ridge Parkway, the AT, wineries, cideries, and breweries! The property includes a deck, outdoor fire pit, grill, and 11 acres to explore. At the very back of the property is 600 feet of private river/creek access. The perfect spot to fish, picnic, read, and/or let the kids cool off and play!The spaceNamed for the family who lived there from 1935 to 2016, this home was remodeled and updated in 2020. Quiet comfort of a modernized farm house, with 100 Megabit internet! The home includes 2 living areas one with a gas fireplace and the other with a woodburning fireplace. There are 2 queen bedrooms downstairs each with a nearby full bath. The downstairs also includes a laundry room for your use, a fully stocked kitchen, and a dining room that seats 6-8. Upstairs are two bedrooms and a half bath. One bedroom has four twin beds and the other bedroom has a futon that folds out and can sleep 1-2. The futon bedroom also has a tv and Nintendo game system. Welcome to High View Haven! HVH offers a relaxing space while skiing at Wintergreen, golfing at Stoney Creek, or sampling all the beer, cider, spirits and wine that Nelson 151 has to offer! HVH is in the perfect location for an action-packed ski/snowboarding/tubing vacation, an indulgent tour sampling flights of wine/beer/cider/bourbon/mead, or just a quiet place to unwind, escape the grind and enjoy the view! HVH is located 1 mile from Three Notch’d Brewery and Kitchen, 2.5 miles from the Bold Rock Cidery and Distillery, and 2.5 miles from Hilltop Berry Farm Winery and Meadery. A 15 minute drive in either direction on Nelson 151 will put you at countless wineries, breweries, distilleries, meaderies, and cideries. HVH is less than a mile to the local grocery and is walking distance to Iron & Ale located at the clubhouse in Stoney Creek. HVH is a convenient 15 minutes from the Wintergreen slopes. HVH offers a cozy upstairs living room with smart tv and gas fireplace. A large dining table accommodates eight people. An attached deck with screened-in porch begs for a cool glass of riesling in the summer, warm cider in the fall or a hot chocolate in the winter. The deck also includes a gas grill and a table to enjoy the clean air and mountain views. A kitchen outfitted with all the gear you could want for everything from toasting bagels to roasting a turkey! HVH’s lower level offers board games and a game table (adding to them all the time). The games are stored in the bottom drawer of the wet bar. You can flip on the game on the TV AND enjoy family time! There’s a wet bar for making cocktails, microwave for popping popcorn, and a mini fridge for whatever caught your eye out on 151! Enjoy the indoor game room where you can open the full view garage door and a panorama of the mountains, an X Box Series X, old school Atari, arcade basketball, giant Jenga, giant connect four, corn hole, and more! There is also a smart tv to watch all the streaming services you can bring! Just outside is a fire pit where you can pull up an Adirondack chair snuggle and get toasty with friends and family. Also available is an eight-person hot tub where cold toes get warm and stories of the glories of all the Ollies, Nollies, Shifties and Poptarts get told!
