Stop by Tomato Firewood is not supplied, so we recommend stopping by Tomato House Farms to pick up firewood and visit the butcher for your BBQ needs. You will have private access to the entire farmhouse and outdoor areas during your stay. We offer easy self-check-in and there is plenty of space for up to four vehicles. We are tucked away in the woods (otherwise we couldn't call ourselves a Hideaway ;o) For your last stretch (approx. 1 mile) the road narrows and then gives way to a maintained gravel/dirt. Don't worry, 4WD is not required and this road is regularly traveled by compact cars, delivery trucks, and minivans (like us ;o). You'll be able to claim the true country experience as you traverse the last 1/3 mile. Take it slow and you'll have limited bumps. Consider any bumps you do feel a "country massage". Once you arrive at your hideaway, we think you'll love the seclusion it offers.We do have security cameras that monitor the exterior of the property.This neighborhood is approx. 1 mile off the main road and hidden amongst the lush green trees of the foothills. Locals enjoy their rural life surrounded by nature and the peace and tranquility that comes with it. Rivers and creeks meander through the forest. Within a 15 mile radius is Dahlonega Square, a popular spot for food, shopping, and history. You'll also find the University of North Georgia, Consolidated Gold Mine, Zoo and Wildlife Park, Horseback Riding, Yahoola Creek Park and Reservoir - and some of your standards like Starbucks and Walmart. Whether you're seeking adventure or relaxation, there’s something for everyone!**The Adventure Inn** is perched on a charming small mountain along a private, unpaved road, nestled within 1 acre of lush, tree-surrounded land. Enjoy full access to the entire property and take the opportunity to hike and explore the scenic mountain road, which boasts stunning valley views. While there are a few neighbors on the mountain who cherish their privacy, we kindly ask that you limit your exploration to our cabin property and the main mountain road.Beyond the immediate property, Dahlonega awaits with a wealth of activities and sights to discover. From historic tours and gold panning to wine tasting and outdoor adventures, this vibrant area promises memorable experiences for all ages. We highly encourage you to venture out and immerse yourself in all that Dahlonega has to offer!---A few things to note:- The road to the cabin on the mountain is not completely paved and the terrain is uneven. While most vehicles can navigate it without any issues, we advise against attempting the drive with vehicles that have a very low clearance. While a 4WD is not necessary, a low-clearance vehicle may struggle to traverse the road.- Please be aware that GPS directions may sometimes lead you to the wrong driveway. Look for a white mailbox with the number 350 displayed on the side. Our driveway is just beyond that mailbox.- For your convenience, we provide a basic starter pack of supplies for your stay, including 1 roll of paper towels in the kitchen, 2 trash bags, 1 roll of toilet paper for each bathroom, 2 dishwasher pods, and 2 laundry pods. We recommend that you bring additional supplies to ensure you have enough for your entire group and the duration of your stay. Should you need further supplies, there are nearby stores such as Publix, Home Depot, and Walmart, all within a 15-minute drive from the cabin.- Please note that we do not supply firewood, so we suggest bringing your own if you plan to use the fire pit.- While ride-sharing options like Ubers and Lyfts are limited in Dahlonega, there are three excellent local taxi services available: Mama’s Taxi, Pop’s Taxi, and Savoir Faire Taxi Service & Wine Tours. We recommend scheduling your rides in advance, especially during the busy wedding seasons of Spring, Summer, and Fall, as these services may have limited availability for on-the-spot pickups.
