Mount Bohemia is just 25 minutes away. Snowmobile trail 133 runs right up to the driveway. We also have snow sleds and snow shoes. The deer are fed at 4 every day. Great for pictures! Lots of Lake Superior shoreline. We have our own small marina! Picnic tables. Tiki hut. Kayaks. Sandy area to walk in. Paddle and Play in the water. Cast a line if you are a fisherman. Jump off the docks. Beach towels are provided. Take a bike ride to the museum in Gay. So much to do on-site! Our spacious vacation houses are completely renovated with lots of popular features. Awesome, open concept great room with enormous windows to enjoy the views of the lake. Includes a well stocked, stainless kitchen, a dining area, an island for even more prep space, and a very comfy living room. We really splurged on the bathrooms, with stone vessel sinks, gold fixtures, and a large custom walk-in shower. We want you to feel pampered here. Our deck is also over-sized and well appointed. We have a grill, an eating area, and a seating/hangout area. Wood is provided for the fire pit. A basket on top of the fridge has the fixings for s’mores. Then, explore the Keweenaw. Our location is so convenient. To the north you’ll find Brockway Mountain Drive, Copper Harbor, Mount Bohemia, Fort Wilkins State Park, quaint museums and antique shops, the Calumet Theater, all just a short drive. Going south a bit you can stop in the mineral museum at Michigan Tech, enjoy lunch and shopping in Houghton and stop for ice cream in Lake Linden. Located on Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula, This cottage is only 400 feet from the mouth of the Tobacco River and located on 230' of Lake Superior lakeshore. Approximately 15 miles from Lake Linden and Calumet. The nearest village is Gay. The views, breezes and waves are simply fantastic.This property has a spectacular view of the Lake from all the main living areas and bedrooms. The multi-level deck allows you to enjoy the summer breezes or the fall colors with family and friends.The Lower level has laundry area, and a bunkroom Sauna and Pool table. Upper level features beautiful red maple and cherry hardwood vaulted ceiling and open design from kitchen, dining and living room for great views of the lake and easy conversation. Master bedroom features a king bed and 180 degree view of the lake. Old restored pier 500 feet the other way brings back memories of old copper mining days gone by.If you revel in ATV, UTV or snowmobiling riding this place is a perfect launching point for exploring the Keweenaw. We are positioned across the street is from a major trail head. There is plenty of room for parking trailers and toy haulers. Trail 133 comes to the road for easy ride in and out access. We have one Ring security camera between the overhead and the man door. It has audio and microphone capabilities. The main reason for it we find it necessary is to help guests with any issues in getting into to the cabin. The second reason is for snow removal during the winter months. The three spacious, private bedrooms have a queen, a queen, and twin beds and full closet for your luggage. The biggest bedroom also includes a queen sized futon, couch style, suitable for a single person. The large bathroom features a walk-in shower that measures 40x60" for plenty of elbow room. The kitchen shines with stainless appliances and modern comforts. Plus we provide lots of extras to add to the fun of hanging out, such as a coffee pot (we provide the coffee), a waffle maker, a crockpot, and a blender - for berry smoothies or adult beverages. There is grilling available for outdoor meals. We provide either paper plates or classy dishes, depending on how you want to dine for each meal. A large attached porch is perfect for snowmobilers to unpack their gear and for bicyclers to safely store their bikes. Snowmobile trail #133 runs into our driveway. If 4-wheeling in your thing, there is plenty of room to keep trailers and gear on site. Mount Bohemia is just down the road.We are situated at the official trail head for the 4 wheel trails and for the snowmobile trails. The grounds at Dockside include fire pits, large and small. Fishing, swimming, and sun-bathing are encouraged. On the grounds, we have a stage for hosting musical acts.
