Although designed for a small family, it's a beautiful romantic getaway house with easy short drives to many nearby wineries or breweries in three States, Virginia (Loudon County Virginia is just across the bridge), Maryland and West Virginia. We've customized our outdoor deck for your relaxation and enjoyment. An open kitchen with floating shelves; a custom white oak buffet shelf adjoins next to a large wooden kitchen table for easy dining. Keurig K-cups for a nice cup of coffee in the morning. Huge 65 inch smart curved TV in living room, with extra large couch for all to stretch out and enjoy. The Townhouse itself rests in a peaceful neighborhood that like all of Harpers Ferry is diametrical with some houses modern and pristine (like ours) and some old and weathered. It is the same no matter where you go in the 220 year old town. It is a quarter mile walk to Washington Street, the main drag that leads down into the Old Town Harpers Ferry. Washington Street has all the great restaurants, bars and occasional live music at the Anvil and the Barn, all within a quarter mile of the Townhouse. New: walk to the Wine Bar at the General Store on Washington St. with Weekend wine tastings of mostly international wines, also wine for sale. This guy is very knowledgeable about his wines. Walk over the hill behind the neighborhood to find the Potomac at the bottom. Tons of hiking trails just outside the front door to Bolivar Heights, or slightly longer hike to more famous hiking trails like the AT, Loudon Lookout Heights or Maryland Heights.
