Our family retreat for more than forty years is named after Dr. Frank "Pete" McMains, our grandfather, who built the farm complex. Pete donated 20% of his 50 year career as an orthopedic surgeon caring for severely disabled children pro bono at McMains Childrens' Developmental Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
