If you fancy a long walk, combine Howrah Beach with a walk on Bellerive Beach.Glow-in-the-dark bioluminescent waterThis incredible natural phenomenon, known as bioluminescence or sea sparkle, occurs when tiny plankton lights up and causes the sea to literally glow in the dark. During the day the plankton give off a pink color, so if you spot this, make sure you keep an eye on the beach around midnight time to see if they glow. Getting AroundThe house is just about 10 minutes drive (10km) from the Hobart CBD. The Hobart Airport is only 15km away. Just one block away, there is a small corner store (Howrah Point Store) that does takeaways and sells groceries. The closest major supermarket is only 5 minutes walk at the Shoreline Shopping plaza. It is highly recommended guests arrive with their own car for ease of transport. If this is not an option, public transport runs regularly along Howrah Beach Road.
