Our cabin is surrounded by the Nantahala National Forest and borders the US Forestry Service Area, making it secluded, peaceful, and majestic! It is just a short walk from Lake Hiwassee, abundant with fish and wildlife. Enjoy the outdoors sipping coffee or hot cocoa from the screened-in porch. Grill on the patio while watching the sunset. Sit around the fire pit, making s’mores and enjoying a glass of wine. Centrally located to boat ramp, marina, dam, Historic Murphy, and Historic Blue Ridge. The cabin is centrally located in the Appalachian Mountains and close to lots of fun spots like local dining restaurants, historic downtowns (Murphy, Blue Ridge, Helen, and Blairsville), Lake Hiwassee (trails, fishing, boat ramp, marina, and dam), recreation areas and trails for hiking, 7 waterfalls, Harrah's Cherokee River Valley Casino, Nantahala Outdoor Center, gem mining, stables, farms, breweries, wineries, and much more.The cabin tastefully decorated to truly immerse yourself in the experience. The cabin sits on a fairly leveled acre , allowing guests to enjoy the backyard. Each bedroom has a 43 in TV and the living room has a 55 in TV. All TVs have over 190 channels with DISH and guests can also stream services with their own accounts. There is a veggie garden in the backyard that guests can enjoy when veggies are in season. There are tons of games available to play in the living room, screened-in porch, or yard. There is a selection of books to read cozied up in bed or by the fireplace, in the screen-in porch, or by the fire pit.Guests have the entire cabin to themselves. Guests will have easy access to the cabin via a smart-lock; code is sent to guests the day of their arrival and expires at check-out time the day of their check-out. There is parking for 2 cars on-site; it is a flat leveled gravel driveway.There are 3 owners closets, a garage, and shed that guests have no access to. Cell service is not guaranteed at our cabin in the mountains. If your phone has Wi-Fi calling, enable it after connecting to the cabin’s Wi-Fi to be able to make phone calls. The cabin offers the best internet service for available in this area of the mountains. We cannot give refunds if issues should arise with cell phone service and TV and Internet performance issues. Memories are made here. You can drive any vehicle to navigate the winding roads and access our flat gravel driveway. You'll enjoy the peace and quiet as you relax out on the wrap around deck and take in the beautiful peekaboo mountain views. Grill out on the back deck and watch a portion of the sun set. Sit around the newly upgraded fire pit and make s'mores with the kids. Our house features three levels of warm and inviting amenities to make your next visit to the wilderness, everything you expected and more. Enjoy our two large screen TVs connected to the Dish Network! Shoot pool, play foosball, or video games with the Wii U! Fiber optics and Wireless Internet is available for checking emails and light streaming. Activities just outside our cabin include a short walk down to a portion of Lake Hiawassee, for viewing and fishing. Another option is to follow the gravel road past the cabin you will be in the Nantahala National Forest for an easy hiking experience. We have seen deer walking through our property and we have heard of bear spotting’s. Activities that you will need to drive to experience include the nearby Mountain View Marina which is approximately 15 minutes away and has all your boating, fishing, and rental needs. Just past the marina you will see the TVA dam where there is a view of the lake and picnicking area. Other outdoor activities include white water rafting, hiking, fishing, tubing, biking, wineries, brew pubs, and more! Enjoy all the local area has to offer including the 20-minute drive to historic downtown Murphy for shopping and dining. We are extremely grateful that our cabin/Murphy/Cherokee County were largely spared bad effects from the hurricane - if you are trying to reschedule a trip to an affected area, or need a place to get away to, we are in full working order with internet, cell service, power, businesses largely open, etc. We would love to have you! Our thoughts are with folks elsewhere who were not so lucky.Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. My Mystic Mountain is all about the great outdoors and long range views! This home has not one but 2 gas fireplaces outside on the 2 decks along with a large flat screen TV and gas grill to make your time at the cabin perfect in every way.Upstairs, off the Master Loft, is a cozy hot tub made private by custom louvers. There is a gas grill on the deck you are welcome to use.Other things to noteThe house is located just minutes away from the Nanatahala National Forest with plenty of room for hiking, biking, and enjoying mountain life to the fullest. Just a little further is a lake for fishing and kayaking all for your enjoyment.The house is in Hideaway Hills, a gated community, back off the beaten path and 20 minutes away from town. It is a combination of a paved and gravel road but does not require a 4 wheel drive to access it.
