The island itself is a paradise. It's like a utopian place that seemed impossible to experience. This place will provide you restful sleep and intimate immersion with the nature. I also realized that the great pearl of the island are the staff who were very hospitable and passionate in providing authentic and magnanimous service. They treated me and my family with utmost service. They interacted with us as if we're not tourists but family. I express my profound gratitude to Sir Migs, Glory, Alea, Kim, Jekoy, and other staff whose names I hardly recall for letting my family experience sicogon to the fullest. They really embodied their innate ilonggo personality "malalambing". It was not an escape from reality, but a return to reality.

We came here just for the day, but we immediately regretted not staying there! The food was great, service impeccable and the property is very clean. Their manager Migs even took the time out to check on us and tell us stories about the property. The location is beautiful. It could’ve been an Aman resort in a different lifetime - hard to get to and beautiful setting. The waters are crystal clear. My daughter has so much fun playing by the shore. We definitely will be coming back here in the near future.

Pre stay: not reactive to communication and confirmation we wanted to upgrade our room, paying price difference, if available. Stay: the location and the beach are wonderful and probably justify the price for what the beach front and garden room offer, i.e little. While there is aircon and hot water (in the shower only), there is NO closet or shelve where to put your cloths. Only a few hangers, which is useless for most cloths brought to a beach. Only one bedside table and lamp. No chair or table in the room (this is valid for beach front rooms. It seems hilltop rooms are larger and have closet and 2nd bedside table) and of course no TV and no fridge. Internet accessible in the dining area only. The staff is pleasant and efficient. The food OK by Western standards. Breakfast OK. Very poor bar selection though; I went to the adjacent community to buy some liquor... But again, it is paradise when on the beach if you have gotten up early enough to literally grab one of the 6 sunbeds available and you are lucky not being surrounded by a noisy multi children tribe, which happened to us fortunately only the last 2 days of our stay.

a perfect getaway for the weekend. we arrived late and only stayed a night, wished that we couldv'e stayed longer. very satisfied with everything! if you want a peaceful and relaxing vacation this is the trip! expect no good data service although they have wifi but who cares, it's the most perfect time to do away with the hussle and juggles of a busy life. customer service is impeccably one of the best from arrival and drop off! we were greeted with a warm welcome, accomodated beyond expectations, and the staff were extremely helpful! food- delicious! the menu was limited when we were there but food was great! I cannot complain! kudos to the Chef! the place itself is a gem! it's so beautiful! we initially booked the beach front but moved to the hilltop room which was in my opinion was better! it had an amazing view! if you decide to stay make sure you check out the whole resort! there are a lot of picture perfect spots! it was a lovely stay at Balay Kogon!
