逆流樹

My only regret about this place was only staying one night. We were on a long journey to Jafna driving our Tuk Tuk, and this was the perfect place to stop and unwind. The setting is stunning, rooms spacious, clean, and well equipped. The swimming pool set facing the river was a welcome treat. There is also a pool table, and they provide blue tooth speakers so you can play some tunes. There is also a well stock library. The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Good food to go along with it. I would heartily recommend this place for an oasis of tranquillity away from the hustle and bustle of travelling. Harry and Emma

OMG! What a find. This is a villa with several big rooms and a dining area. It’s surrounded by trees (there were monkeys!). The pool is gorgeous! The host telephoned to see what time we would be arriving, whether we would like a meal and gave us a choice, would we like wine and beer and what time would we like it. We ate a gorgeous curry and bread. The host was so friendly and helpful

Rivendell Twisted Tree is a beautiful plantation house set amidst 70 acres of coconut, mango and teak trees. The landscape and entire property is beautiful, lush and the location right next to the river is breathtaking. We really enjoyed taking a dip in the swimming pool overlooking the river. Wajira the caretaker took excellent care of us- was friendly, polite and helpful! He even took us on a jeep ride around the entire plantation. The house is nestled amongst stunning scenery - we loved the twisted coconut tree, lotus pond, outdoor seating next to the river and spotting all sorts of birds, giant squirrel and monkeys! Only negative was - The bedrooms are too simple and bathrooms are in desperate need of renovation- they lacked ventilation and all the fittings were ancient! The beds need more pillows and a thick duvet with cover( we were just given 1 pillow and a simple bedsheet) also fans were not functional so had to turn on aircon all night. Two bed side/ night side lamps and more charging points would be good- along with improved toiletries and hand towels. Breakfast offering can be more- I would have liked to see more tropical fruits on the table instead of just banana- also the breakfast was very basic. All in all I would recommend this place for a one night stay- perfect for stop over if you are driving from Colombo to Sigiriya or Dambulla- if they improve the rooms and bathrooms then this can easily become a 2-3 night halt!
