This place was awful. I figured because it was an Extended Stay that it would be decent. The only good thing about this place was the people at the front desk. They were very kind and did refund us for our trouble. The two rooms that we rented for our family were filthy. The floors were dirty. We wiped one with a wash cloth and it was black and brown. The excuse from the front was that wood floors are hard to clean. There were bugs everywhere and the rooms smelled like smoke and weren't stocked properly. My favorite was the pot smokers outside one of rooms, who looked like they had not showered in about a year. No offense to pot smokers. I just personally don't want it wafting into my room. We had to double up in one of the rooms because that was just a tad bit uncomfortable. For what you pay to stay here, go to the Holiday Inn next door.

My time at the Extended Stay America in Huntsville, AL- US Space and Rocket Center was nothing less than a nightmare. It was my last resort due to high demand around the time that I visited. Went for a conference for work, and I stayed a total of three nights. As soon as I walked into my room, I was assaulted with the smell of strong cologne. I didn’t think anything of it, but it’s important to note for this review. I didn’t mind it because the room looked clean, bed was made, kitchen was clean, refrigerator was clean, although, the plate in the microwave was missing. Didn’t care too much about that, since I didn’t have food I needed to re-heat, so I didn’t say anything to the FD. Bring flip flops or sandals because the floor had not been mopped. It was swept, but I could tell it had not been mopped in a while. The soap in the bathroom must haven’t been as old as the building. When I tried washing my hands in the bathroom, it felt like hard plastic. I ran it under hot water to “activate it” which worked. Grab-and-go breakfast was sad, they have coffee, tea, instant grits and oatmeal. To be fair, I may have gone downstairs late and maybe they were out of the granola. Breakfast is between 6 am and 9 am, I went around 8 am. The furniture was in really bad shape and the drawers were dirty. The presence of shady individuals made me feel like I was in a seedy back alley and not a lodging establishment. On the second day I left to explore, I was gone for about two hours or so. When I came back, I was ambushed with the smell of strong cologne again. Only this time the bed wasn’t made. Which triggered me to check everything. I turned on all of the lights, checked under the bed, all nooks and crannies, everything was fine, but I could not wrap my head around why someone was in my room. They didn’t pull trash, bed wasn’t made, the plate in the microwave wasn’t replaced. So why the need to enter my room? The next day, which was check-out day, after taking a shower, I pull the curtain open, to find a message in my mirror. (Pictured) So, I turn the hot water on in the shower, and waited to see if I could make out the message clearer, it read “You are beautiful, 4eva and always.” As a solo woman traveler, I felt unsafe and violated. The nerve of someone coming into my room without consent and the audacity to leave me a message is inappropriate and appalling. Beware of reviews claiming this so called lodging establishment is anything more than one star. I would rate it negative stars if I could. I travel a lot for work and leisure, and I have never thought about setting up a camera in my hotel room, until this stay. When I checked out, the lady at the front desk didn’t even ask how my stay was. Which I am not use to, plus I would have laid it out. Could it be that she is well aware of this disgusting place? To Management: save your canned response, I will not stay in that hellhole any Extended Stay every again. EVER!

Great customer service I had an amazing stay and this hotel has amazing customer service. The bed was great as well and made it easier to get the rest needed after driving for several hours.

This was my 1st and LAST time staying at an Extended Stay America especially at this location. 1) Dirty floors - crumbs and dirt near the base of the walls. Took a wet towel and spread it on the floor and stepped on it to slide around on the floor. My wife was shocked at how dirty the towel became after doing the floor. 2) Being on the 2nd floor, we heard heavy footsteps through out the night from the guest directly above us. :-( 3) Two trash cans... tiny one for bathroom and a little bigger one for the kitchen. Lazy housekeepers.... I neglected to open up the trash can liners so therefore when you threw your trash in the trash can then it bounced out onto the floor. For petes sake, take an extra 5 seconds to open the liner before placing it inside the trash can. 4) Oh yeah, this hotel DOES NOT have the mounted hair dryer on the wall in the bathroom like the nicer hotels do. So you would need to bring your own hair dryer. 5) Lastly, since 90% of the nicer hotels has separate switches for the exhaust fan and the lights in the restrooms, this hotel only has ONE switch that controls both the lights and exhaust fan. Needless to say we had to endure listening to the exhaust fan all night just so that we could crack the bathroom door open to provide a little light for those little trips to the bathroom in the middle of the night.
