We have stayed at Wm Farmer and Sons 3 times— in June 2024, March 2025, and August 2025. Twice in the Mercer suite, and once in the Schooner suite. Obviously we loved it, since we’ve returned over and over again. The suites are attractive, comfortable, and upmarket rather than mass-market. The staff is incredibly courteous and kind and supportive, which makes you feel welcome at once. We’ve also eaten at the farm-to-table restaurant 3 times and it’s amazing. The property is also located literally 1 minute walk from the Hudson river, rendering beautiful morning or evening walks very easy. It’s also very close to the main street of Hudson, with shopping, galleries and other restaurants to walk to (caution about Hudson, many places are not open mid week). It’s also not far from other hiking and amazing area attractions such as Olana, Frederick Church’s estate. Our daughter will be attending Vassar college for the next 4 years so we are definitely going back again in future!

excellent location..........very friendly and helpful employees........ our Wendel Lee room was a climb , but comfy once we settled in...........too bad they cancelled the live music on Thursday, we were looking forward to it.............gorgeous sunset just a stones' throw from the hotel, in the park at the end of Warren, overlooking the Hudson !!

Early July stay. Convenient walk to other places and easy on street parking. Charming. Great common rooms in this townhouse style place. Nice attached pub.

Wm. Farmer & Son is not your normal hotel. Our room, the Anne Marie, was unusual but comfortable and convenient. The sitting room provided enough extra space to relax away from the bedroom and the full size refrigerator in the kitchen was also a nice break from crouching to get something out of the refrigerator. Not many claw foot tubs are retrofitted with a nice shower but this shower was fantastic. Spray stayed within the shower curtain and the water pressure was excellent. This room is above the restaurant and bar but the moderate noise is gone by 9pm. Noise from the bar is not an issue. Besides you should be in the restaurant enjoying the creative and wonderful food. The restaurant and bar are first class and not to be missed.We ate there twice and had great experiences both times.Service at the front desk is also a 10. We look forward to returning.

Definitely NOT ADA friendly. I have knee issues and NO where on the website does it say you have to climb 1-2 steep staircases. I have knee issues and just climbing 2 flights of stairs has just ruined my weekend!! What a waste of money!!

Lovely location, aesthetics , super helpful staff in a great location across from the river. I arrived with two prized road bicycles and staff helpful me store securely inside. Great shared spaces to sit, read, talk, work. Will be back!
