Super leuk regionaal hotel met voortreffelijke gastvrijheid. Alles perfect en eten was echt subliem.

Amazing food. Basic rooms The rooms are basic, and as a repeat customer I know this. No shower in this particular room, but a large bath. Biggest issue - room was freezing with no way to tweak heating. No iron in the room either.

This is the amazing hotel and restaurant we’ve ever stayed in .The food was beyond excellent, those chiefs, real chiefs are not some silly French name but just amazing. The staff just keep you happy, we’ve travelled all over the world and nothing comes close to this level of excellence

Lovely property Hotel was very nice but really busy so parking was an issue. We had the attic room which had a low slanted ceiling which I wouldn’t want to stay in again. No WiFi code given and bathroom too hot.

By far the best pub/restaurant we have been to in a long time! The food was excellent - amazing choice on menu and the quality of food would be of gastro standard and yet it has the atmosphere of a friendly pub with staff that couldn't do enough for their customers. The restaurant was tastefully decorated and background music welcome (not obtrusive like many places these days). Outside a lovely enclosed pub garden which we had enjoyed for a drink at lunchtime. The only downside - we are tourists in the area and wish we had this pub back home. We will be back for sure!

Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast, we had a great choice of breakfasts, the full English was a bit too big for me, I couldn't finish it, I should have gone for the small English. Plenty of parking. I would recommend booking a table for dinner as soon as possible, this venue is very popular with the locals. We would definitely stay at the Recruiting Sergeant again.

Staff were very helpful. The Inn was busy all the time we stayed. Staff still found time to ensure you were a valued guest. The menu was comprehensive and food portions were generous. Breakfast was included with our stay. Everything was freshly cooked.

Nice place though right next to the road so had to have the windows closed on a very hot night. Food was superb, staff were helpful and had a missing blind replaced as soon as I mentioned it. Comfortable stay, would definitely recommend.
