Had a three night stay here. Great staff, very good facilities (pool, jacuzzi and sauna but book your slots in busy periods), superb restaurant and a quiet location in the Peak district. Located a mile from Hope up a narrow (ish) track, it is worth the journey. Lots of things to do if you want to get out and about. You can walk from the hotel and get up to Losehill and beyond to Mam tor or just down to the village and river. Very pleasant room (12) with all the amenities you need. Staff very friendly and helpful (many thanks to the night porter for the tea) and the food, both at breakfast and dinner is first class. Very enjoyable stay

A beautiful home from home feel to this lovely hotel. Our room was perfect & so relaxing. The pool was lovely too & Sarah enjoyed a fabulous massage with a lovely female member of your staff. The staff were very friendly and accommodating at all times making us feel very welcome. The setting of the Hotel was also perfect and we would certainly return again in the future. The food was exquisite. Many many thanks for a wonderful 2 night break. Tom & Sarah James. 😃

After a disastrous previous visit some year's ago, we decided to return for a lunch. We were impressed with the presentation starched white tablecloths and napkins,nice chairs and decor. Still has a fantastic view of the fields and hills. The food,wines and service were exceptional, it was great having the restaurant to ourselves at first and were surprised to find it so quiet for a Friday. But based on this experience we will be recommending it to friends and family once more, well done to all!!

Lovely hotel with spa, fantastic restaurant and scenic walks accessible from the hotel. Would specially compliment the restaurant staff who went the extra mile, the spa staff and the housekeepers. Only glitch was room allocations which had been changed between us booking and arriving but we were compensated and offered alternatives. Shame about the rain but our rooms had views over the hills.

We had a lovely stay at Losehill - the room was beautiful, food amazing and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We used the spa facilities on the day we arrived - one of us had a massage which was amazing. We both used the pool and hot tub. As the pool and hot tub area is quite small we had to reserve it for an hour - but this work fine for us. The hotel setting is beautiful - down a long single track lane. We did meet the bin lorry when we left which made full use of my reversing skills!

A surprise gift that turned out to be perfection. The setting, the Arts & Crafts detailing, the layout of the reception, lounge and dining area, the bedroom and spa just perfect. Comfortable, relaxing, and with staff who were both non-intrusive and attentive when required. The food is incredible and would highly recommend the Taster Menu along with the Miolo (a new one on me but now my favourite red wine). Sandwiched between Lose Hill and Win Hill this is an unbeatable location for when you just want to forget about everything, sit in the hot tub and admire the views. Check out the clever coat rack in reception. Definitely the best hotel I've been lucky enough to stay in for some time. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay unforgettable.

We had stayed here last year, and an offer of a discounted rate for returning guests was too good to miss. We stayed four nights, and the food was superb, delicious and beautifully prepared. We walked in the hills from the door, and returned for a refreshing swim in the hotel pool, and, for me after one long walk, a relaxing massage. The breakfasts and the dinners were a delight, in a bright airy orangery, and although the menu didn’t change while we were there, there was enough choice, and in fact, the chef cooked a lighter option for me on the final night. Staff are friendly and well trained, and the bedrooms are very comfortable, so we slept well, with no outside noise. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I booked a 3night Dinner, Bed & Breakfast deal to stay at Losehill House Hotel & Spa to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We arrived on the Sunday afternoon, checking in electronically via an app and using our phone to open the room. Don't worry you can still check in the old fashioned way and get a key card for the room. On the first night we paid extra to join a special event at dinner with a 6 course tasting menu and a flight of matched wine. We shared the wine flight which as we are not great wine drinkers and that was sufficient for us. There was also a handy wine maker called Kieren around to explain about the matches and the wines we were drinking. The food was really good. Each course had been subtly & expertly adapted to suit a gluten free diet for me. In fact the food throughout our stay was excellent with good but not excessively sized portions. The staff throughout the stay were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and they were always willing to have a chat which was really pleasant. We did a great, but really tiring walk on the Monday starting from the hotel, walking up to the summit of adjacent Lose Hill, along the ridge to Mam Tor and then back via Castleton. Beautiful views on the clear sunny day across the valleys. Back at the hotel we used the swimming pool, sauna and hot tub and then rested till the evening meal. The spa part is quite small but because we were out of the main season there was no need to book a space. The next day we did a gentler hike round Ladybower Reservoir, a few miles away, and then back for our pre-booked trea**ent (extra cost) of a massage. My therapist, Lisa, was friendly, chatty and gave a very relaxing massage. We left the next day having thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A great setting, with a lovely room, fantastic food and great staff meant we left really relaxed and satisfied. Yes it is relatively pricey but for a celebration and the experience we had it was well worth it. We would both thoroughly recommend a stay and hope to return there again in future.

This place is a great find. It’s gorgeous decor makes you feel super relaxed. The attention to detail in the rooms is wonderful, and the staff cannot do enough for you. Add to that the amazing views, wonderful food and peaceful surroundings. Would definitely go back.
