The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. They couldn’t have done more to ensure our weekend went smoothly. Abbie, Anna, Rahul, Claudia, Kim, Matas, Jessie and the chef Lee are just some of the amazing team. The food was lovely and all rooms were beautiful; each with amazing views of the sea and dog friendly. A little slice of tranquility that I’d never forget.

Everything was perfect, the service was excellent, my room was well equipped and comfortable. The atmosphere was very welcoming and I felt safe and comfortable staying there as a solo female traveler

We went away for my husbands birthday, hotel was nice paid extra for larger room but did not think it was any larger than others we have visited. Draft coming in through the windows of the bedroom. Food was good but was disappointed with breakfast when I ordered poached eggs they came on plate solid could not eat them due to the amount of vinegar that they had been cooked in. Staff we found to be really pleasant, location brilliant

Excellent hotel, great positioning, lovely staff. Abi was really helpful during the booking process to ensure we got to stay in the room we wanted with a sea view. Easy to get onto the coastal path and we were very fortunate to have some lovely early spring weather.

We booked for lunch. Great site close to the beach. Good food. However, they very much let themselves down with the very poor service. We ordered our meals at the bar at the same time, as 3 separate couples. Orders 1 and 3 came out together after an average delay, but order 2 took well over an hour to come, despite enquiring, and arrived over 30 mins after the other meals had been eaten. Not good. Very poor attitude of the bar staff when we enquired - weren’t bothered and just told us the food was on its way. In fact, bar staff were unwelcoming from the start, diligently ignoring us when we arrived, despite no other customers at the bar. Difficult to understand such an attitude in what is meant to be a hospitality business.

Great hotel, lovely warm and friendly atmosphere! Room was very large and comfortable with lovely bathroom and Elemis toiletries!! Food is fantastic and staff could not be friendlier or more eager to fulfill every requirement. Truly a pleasant and relaxing stay in a beautiful location. Just what we needed ❤️

The reviews don't lie. This is a great value for money pub/hotel. Perfectly positioned ,directly opposite the beach with a view of Burgh Island and beyond. The SW coastal path runs alongside and there's a good number of walks available for all capabilities. The rooms are well equipped, having been updated within the last couple of years. The staff are wonderful ,as is the food and drink on offer. No problem with parking ,there's a huge pay and display car park alongside(£6 for 24 hours) ,although the pub has it's own very small car park. Although quiet out of season, I would expect this small area of Devon to get extremely busy in the peak season. All in all ,a great place for a break ,with a number of bigger towns within easy driving distance.

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Hope and Anchor. What a beautiful location. Pub and accommodation first class. Dined each night in the restaurant. Lovely menu with specials each night. Staff friendly and helpful. Special shout out to Abbie who couldn’t do enough. Also great breakfast. Lovely spacious room with great views of the cove. Would definitely return when visiting the area again.

We knew the location was going to be brilliant but we didn't expect the food and service to be the excellent high standard. We would highly recommend the Hope and Anchor.

What a little gem of a place and the Hope & Anchor was lovely. Great room overlooking the sea with the sound of surf to fall asleep too. Staff welcoming and helpful. Very comfortable room. Just don’t trust your staff nav getting here

We stayed over Hope Cove weekend and it was excellent. It was busy but breakfast and service was always good. 10 of us also had a meal there which again was very good. Hope Cove is a lovely ‘bucket and spade ‘ old fashioned resort. Thoroughly recommend

Most enjoyable stay at the Hope & Anchor. The location is amazing, beautiful views of the beach and the coast, lovely balcony to enjoy a meal and a drink overlooking the sea. Nice and comfortable rooms, delicious food, most friendly staff.

Great pub, well kept real ale and very good food . The fish pie and Sunday roast are highly recommended . Rare to see a pub balance wet sales and food so well

Stayed one night while hiking the South West Coast Path. A nice room but we were 2 floors above the kitchen and noise from that was a bit bothersome. We had a great view however and very good espresso machine in our room.
