First time to Barbados..and wow what a hotel, fantastic food can't complain there the staff were really friendly and a big thank you to the restaurant staff and especially those lovely ladys behind the beach bar and Guhy they really finished off the afternoon before heading back to shower up before evening dinner. I think we have found our second home...definitely coming back.

If you’re looking for great value for money and a relaxing all inclusive holiday in a superb location with delicious food and welcoming staff you need to look no further. This is our 4th stay at The Club and we just love the place. Always a warm welcome from the staff who, if you take time to interact with them are so friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious with balconies overlooking the pool, beautiful gardens or the sea. Although there is no beach directly in front of the hotel, there is a very nice elevated sun bathing terrace with a well stocked bar and easy access to the sea via steps. There are gorgeous white sandy beaches right next door just a short walk away. The new policy of not allowing sun beds to be blocked with towels before 8am ensures good availability. There is a choice of two restaurants and the food quality and choice are excellent. Both buffet and a la carte service are available in the evening with buffet served at breakfast and lunch times. Three pools surrounded by lush well maintained gardens are just a few yards away from the sea front and also have a large number of loungers and sun canopies. The hotel is situated on the outskirts of Holetown and is a 15 minute walk to the centre. Buses and taxis are plentiful. If you are looking for a relaxing, adults only holiday with exceptional value for money and great facilities try The Club Barbados and you’ll definitely be coming back.

We stayed for 6 nights from 16/11/23. Our first visit to Barbados. We had a warm welcome on arrival with a glass of rum punch. Efficient check in with help with our bags to our room. We had an ocean front room on the third floor which was really amazing. King bed and a separate out door space. The room was cleaned very well everyday. Breakfast was the best meal of the day with the egg station cooking fresh whatever you wanted. The food was of a decent quality but a bit ordinary. The restaurant was all white very clean but felt lacking in colour or maybe leafy plants. The resort gardens were amazing very well looked after. The resort staff were fantastic always smiling and helpful. Thanks to Caroline the General manager who was lovely. We enjoyed ourselves very much and will definitely return.

1st trip after Covid; overall was disappointed. Barbados is expensive however the hotel was average. If I said Benidorm but in the Caribbean that might be give insight. Sun-loungers being reserved from 5am ; not enough loungers in first 5 days as hotel pretty full. People left their gear on loungers all day but did not use them; leaving others with nowhere to sit outside. They seemed short staffed as there was no drinks service at pool or sea front first few days. The Sun Bed pads were not cleaned daily or overnight ( basic hygiene ) especially after Covid. Mud , Sand, Food, Sun oil and perspiration in addition to bird droppings ! The above was not managed despite the hotel being aware of the issue. Food was good overall but again basic hygiene poor , no fly covers over Salad & Fruit . More UV fly lights and fans may have helped . Same for bar area’s; better cleaning as you go and UV fly deterrent's absent. The staff keep it going really and work hard, very friendly. Rooms are bit old ,tired ( original Pineapple furniture from 1st built). However comfortable and clean for the time spent in them; try to avoid rooms with Tin or metal shelters ( if it rains then quite noisy). The entertainment is ok , little amateur and the staff seem to play NY Rap and other music despite the average age of guests being 50 plus. Again there is no management overview ! There is no beach as sea comes up to hotel frontage ; water toys are therefore tide and weather dependant. You can get to a beach either side depending on sea conditions. You will have a good time I am sure , but do be aware of the above so you know what to expect. Its a basic package deal in Barbados. I wanted to be more upbeat in this review but 3.5 star.

Expectations that is what The Club Barbados is all about. We have visited the Club many times since our first visit to Barbados in 1992. We always stay at this location on the west coast near Holetown. It has been three different resort names since then. First The Pineapple Beach Club, then The Almond Beach Club and now The Club Barbados. Each iteration had its highs and lows but what brings us back year after year is the staff and location. It is a great place to explore Barbados, by foot, by reggae bus, organized tour or taxi and that is what you should do, get out and see the beauty that is Barbados. The Club is by no means 5 star but it works for us in its ‘ Shabby Chic’ way. 95% of the staff are amazing, they make us feel like we are at our home away from home, the other 5% may just need a smile from from us to get them in the mood to be happy. We normally book a garden view room and it works for us. If we want to see the sea we got to the front and get a lounger or walk north or south ( when the tide allows ) to enjoy some of the best beaches. The Sunset Restaurant and Enid’s Restaurant are both good but sometimes they have their off days. You may also order from the menu at the beach bar from noon until five pm but the last order should be in by 4:45 or you might be out of luck🤔. The stars of the Club and this is not the complete list but we love the way we are welcomed and this is in no particular order. Pearson, Dakari, Sophie, Vinnie, Guye, Caroline, Michael, Kareen, Dannie, Owen, Kennisha and that is all of the names my old brain remembers. There are other All Inclusive resorts in Barbados but this one is our fit. I guess after visiting Barbados 36 times over 32 years to visit our Barbados Family in our home away home and meet new friends along the way that says it all 🇨🇦✈️🇧🇧

My friend and I stayed for a week. The food was good and most of the staff were friendly. The resort is small and mostly an older crowd. Our only disappoin**ent was the BEACH, if the tide is out you can go down the stairs and walk to the beach next door. So, if you are a beach lover, pick another resort.

We've just returned from a fantastic holiday to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary at The Club Barbados Resort and Spa. I'd strongly recommend that you ignore the negative reviews previously posted, we thoroughly enjoyed our time there and will definitely be returning next year. We had an Ocean View loft room, which received maid service every single day, and we were blown away by the fantastic views (right on the edge of the sea). We were impressed with the quality of the room and the nice little extras, like coffee machine, hairdryers, toiletries etc. All of the staff were brilliant and went to every effort to make sure that our anniversary was memorable. A special shout out to Guye, Kareene, Vinny, Sonia and Michael who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. As for those people who feel that the staff are rude, unfriendly etc. why not try engaging with them? Try that and guess what, they engage with you, it's not rocket science. I've stayed in MANY hotels, both for business and leisure, and I'd put The Club Barbados Resort and Spa up there with the best of them. Perhaps some people need to embrace what's available and try to enjoy their holidays, rather than trying to look for any minor issue which perhaps deviates slightly from "perfection" The food was excellent with plenty of choice and variety, catering for all tastes and dietary needs with Enid's restaurant offering local cuisine for a special meal. Most of the evening entertainment acts were good, especially the DJ and Aura, maybe a couple of the others could be improved upon but this is a minor comment. Caroline, the manager, was regularly available around the hotel and held a cocktail evening on Monday's to meet with clients, on an informal basis. Overall, we loved our holiday in Barbados and when we return next year we won't consider going anywhere other than Club Barbados Resort and Spa.

So I want to be fair in this review because EVERY employee we met were top notch. The hotel was clean but with some signs of wear and in a beautiful location. The food was okay but definitely catered to their regular clientele. That being said the reason I would rate this resort a 3. The average age of the guest was probably 65-70. Lots of scooters etc. There is really no lively entertainment or activities. When I say nothing I mean an entire days line up was water aerobics that was VERY slow with light music, board games after lunch and an evening singer who sang 50s-70s music while half the “audience “ was falling asleep and maybe 3 shuffled on the dance floor. The food very bland catering to an older English palette. We decided early on we would go outside the resort for things to do each day including some more traditional island food. If you want to just lay by the pool in complete silence and be in bed by 10 then this is your place. If you like to be engaged while on vacation, then you probably will not be happy here.
