Choby's es excepcional. Habitaciones amplias, vista espectacular al mar turquesa, buen servicio de limpieza, ubicación perfecta frente a la playa y a 10 metros una bar en playa. Altamente recomendable para unas vacaciones relajantes.

Bon rapport qualité / prix pour cet hôtel sur une plage calme et magnifique. Accès à pieds rapide au centre ville par la plage. Hôtel calme et impeccable, très accueillant. Suite familiale spacieuse avec coin salon. pas de resto ni de petit dej dommage. Chaises longues pour tout le monde . Le resto fait Bar de plage. Idéal pour se poser au moins 4 nuits !

The hotel is nothing close to what it's presented on pictures and describes in offer. It was the most disgusting part of entire beach on Holbox, and mostly because it was not cleaned and prepared for the season (rotten sunbeds, trash everywhere). The entire area around hotel looked like garbage dump. I have never used the hotel "beach". I could probably even close my eye on it, it was just 4 nights, but how the hotel looks was the smallest problem. I got twice locked inside my room! It took me 30min to get out for the first time and second time I had to use force and shout as long (there are no windows there) as another guest heard me and called after help. The reason I couldn't open the door was that both door and locker were pretty old, and after this second incident I was informed about the special way to open it (hold, lift, etc), so I'm sure it was not the first time someone was locked inside (I missed my meeting, but it could happen something much worse). They tell you, they provide wifi, but I had it only first day, when I informed staff that the internet isn't working (and it was not working for the next 3 days) they just shaked their shoulders. It was the only place on the island where internet was not available.

I had a great 8 night stay here, thanks to Claudette the manager. She was quick to resolve issues and I think she is extremely vital to the customer service aspect of this family operated Inn. The room with the double bed and refrigerator, on the second floor, appeared to be newly painted and updated. Lots of lounge chairs out front. Beachfront. Nice bath towels. Maid service daily. Very clean. I did have to buy my own drinking water, or least that’s what one of the staff informed me. Perhaps, check on that detail in advance! It may depend on who you talk to! I’m not sure.

The positive thing about this hotel is it's beautiful beach area. And I stayed in the third floor and the view was amazing. The bad side is that a lot of things in the kitchen did not work, we could not use the microwave or the stove so cooking was not an option. The lady in the reception said it was due to low electricity in all of the island. This was not true since the refrigerator worked fine and the restaurants close by told us the voltage in the island was working fine and they did not have any trouble. Also the shower was terrible barely any water came out, just some small drops. I would not recommend to stay here. Also the design of the rooms itself is not very good. We asked for a discount and where just given an 8% discount. The beds where very fluffy and comfortable and the staff is nice.

DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!!!! FULL CAPS SO HOPEFULLY YOU SEE IT BEFORE BOOKING, WE WISH WE KNEW! We got a deal to stay here through a friend and I wish we had paid full price to stay somewhere else. We stayed at CHOBY’S House 2 nights, I am writing this before checking out. The WiFi is basically non-existent, which they don’t mention on the website. There is some kind of outdoor performance theatre/club directly behind CHOBY’S House, they were blasting techno until 5AM, no exaggeration. The bathrooms haven’t been able to flush basically the entire stay. They had people working on them for about 5 hours on our 1 full day here, so we just didn’t have a bathroom to use that day, nor access to our room with any privacy as guys were walking in and out working on the toilet. I asked if we could take some rental bikes or kayak while we didn’t have room access- no attempt at accommodation whatsoever. Basically, I paid for the plumbers to come work on the toilets, I might as well have transferred money to CHOBY’S House from home. The employees acted like this was just an issue with the Island’s water pressure, but no one at other hotels we talked to had the same issue. If it was just the no pressure shower, not a problem. CHOBY’S HOUSE WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND THEN NOT PROVIDE THE SERVICE YOU’RE PAYING FOR. YOU CANNOT FLUSH YOUR WASTE. THE EMPLOYEES WILL NOT CARE. YOU WILL NOT SLEEP WELL. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!
