Our Buffalo Camp 6-day safari was beyond marvelous! The experience is now a bright kaleidoscope of delightful memories: the animals, our luxe tent, the rustic lodge, the beautiful meals, the excellent staff, and the superb service. Our ranger, Daniel, and our tracker, Thabo, are skilled and experienced (and they're a lot of fun). They led us on 12 game drives, each unique and exciting; we saw the “Big Five”, plus antelopes beyond count, warthogs, hyena, elephants, giraffe, and so many other less famous, but equally fascinating game animals. Our Kapama Game Reserve safari will be remembered!

Kapama Buffalo Camp was my first stop of three of my South Africa safari trip. I was delighted by the luxury tents nestled among the trees. The tents are spaced far enough apart for privacy yet still only a short walk to the reception and dining area. The covered outdoor dining area has a fireplace for the cool evenings. The Camp staff was super friendly, helpful, and provided excellent customer service.

Our experience at Kapama exceeded our wildest expectations. From the moment we arrived, and my husband had stuffed warthog for lunch, we knew this was going to be special. Our guides Carlos and Gordy were beyond amazing, and made every game drive an adventure. The hot water bottles at 6 am were so welcomed and appreciated. If anyone ever told me that we would experience lionesses eating a giraffe when a group of hyenas approached and started a power struggle, I never would have believed them. We never felt unsafe in any way. There are no words to describe the amazing sunsets and sundown experiences we had. All staff members were welcoming and kind and went the extra distance to make sure everyone had a great time. Our cabin was perfect with every comfort measure tended to. We went to the spa and gym and were offered lunch by the pool. I wish the were more than 5 stars to give!

We recently visited South Africa (party of 11) and stayed at the Kapama Buffalo camp for 4 nights. What an awesome experience and a wonderful place to stay. For a city girl, the luxury tents exceeded my expectations and the safaris were definitely a memorable experience (in a good way). Our safari guides were Uncle and Taboo, sure I’m spelling names wrong, but Kapama knows who they are. Both were extremely nice and knowledgeable. Langu (sp?) and entire staff were very professional and accommodating. Langu is still being of assistance with helping return an item I left. Food and drinks were good. Kapama is a top notch vacation experience that I’ll never forget and would definitely recommend.
