Took a while checking in Nice place especially if you enjoy golf

Very friendly staff, very clean.

As regular visitors we always enjoy Slaley Hall. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, from a warm welcome at Reception to check out. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful. The facilities are good, as are the food and rooms. The location is good, perhaps the only downside is a lack of signage from the road for new visitors.

Convenient for the Hadrian's Cycle Way, in a beautiful setting. Check in was smooth, room was large with tea and coffee. The swimming pool was a great bonus with sauna and steam. We enjoyed walking around the grounds.

We have been here many times. Mostly for the walks and the spa. The grounds are really lovely and there are walks suitable for different abilities. The pool and spa are very nice. Very clean and a good, if bot very big, jacuzzi and lovely steam room and sauna. Some of the corridors are looking a bit tired and need redecorating, but the bar and lounge arias are very sumptuous. We will definately visit again as its a very affordable overnight break

For a 4 star hotel the place was dated, the room was grubby(green mould on the window curtain and on a mattress cover stuffed in the bottom of the wardrobe). Worst of all was the level of se rvice in the restaurant. Had to wait 20 minutes for glass of wine and when it arrived it was the wrong one. Meal was almost over by the time the the correct one arrived. C!early the whole place was u understaffed as Service at reception was very slow and I heard one receptionist being rude about one guest calling her a crazy French woman . Little did she know the guest in question was a friend of ours. The quality of food at breakfast was poor and many items ran out onb both mornings.
