Birkenhead House made Hermanus our favorite stop. Staff is warm and on it, three excellent meals a day included, menus change so you never get bored. Our room opened to Walker Bay with insaneeeee views and we watched whales from the patio more than once. The cliff path starts at the gate and it is a long leisurely stroll to town along the water, you can message the hotel to pick you up wherever and whenever you want. Rooms are stylish and comfortable, beds are cloud level, water pressure is legit, nights are just waves. Do the Marine Big 5 tour if it is in season. Easy and beautiful drive from Cape Town. Worth every rand, best time of our lives.

This is the second time we have visited Birkenhead house , and this hotel just gets better and better ! The service and the facilities are second to none and the location is fantastic to sit and watch the waves crash against the rocks whilst drinking Gin and Tonics, and watching the sun go down.

Posizione eccezionale, stando sul deck principale si possono vedere le balene transitare nell’oceano! Ho avuto la fortuna di ottenere un upgrade che mi ha portata ad occupare una splendida suite con vista sull’oceano e un ampio balcone. Pulizia eccellente ed ottima cucina.

Hotel impecável O local é maravilhoso! Super recomendo! A vista é linda e o amanhecer e entardecer tem vistas incríveis. O atendimento no hotel é exclusivo, os funcionários se esmeram em nos atender da melhor forma. Para se ter uma ideia eu tenho alergia a camarão, e os cardápios das refeições já vinham com a opção de substituição para ela. O funcionário Chris deu ótimas recomendações de passeios em vinícolas e vinhos que tomamos durante as refeições. As instalações do quarto foram ótimas bem como roupa de cama e toalhas.

Wow, wow, wow!! What an absolute wonderful stay! We are so in awe of this wonderful hotel. The glory of God rests so heavy here! We couldn’t have chosen a better destination to celebrate our birthdays. The team really went above and beyond! A special thanks to Ntombi from Head office for arranging everything, Shane and Nikita for the wonderful welcome, Sandile and Ms C for the insightful conversations throughout our stay, Bonolo for the incredible laughs at reception and Robyn for the BEST massage ever and let’s not forget Chef Clive for taking care of all our food requests. This is an amazing place to put the finishing touch on an African vacation. The staff from Elliot who greets you on arrival to Corrine and Sandile in the front reception to Arnold, Gift. Chris, Miriam and Atheni and Rita in food Service they a so friendly and ready to serve. I should also mention the team that tales care of the rooms and maintenance team that takes care of every thing else. We also had facials and massages while at Birkenhead House. Zanelle(sp) gave me one of the best sports massages I've ever had. The food is outstanding and the rooms and overall property are stunning. The beach is immaculate and views are amazing. I can't wait to return for another visit all the way from Denver,Colorado USA
