Ein wahrer Traum! Das Guesthouse im Kolonialstil ist wunderschön eingerichtet und strahlt eine unglaublich liebevolle Atmosphäre aus. Wir hatten das Glück, in der Honeymoonsuite zu wohnen – einfach himmlisch! Das Zimmer war ein wahres Paradies, mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Das Guesthouse liegt direkt am Meer und nur wenige Gehminuten vom Zentrum entfernt, was es zu einem idealen Ausgangspunkt macht, um die Umgebung zu erkunden. Die Gastgeberin ist äußerst freundlich und herzlich, was unseren Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht hat. Das Frühstück war ein weiteres Highlight – frisch, vielfältig und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Es bleiben keine Wünsche offen. Wir können dieses Guesthouse nur wärmstens empfehlen!

Das Guesthouse befindet sich direkt am Wasser und man erreicht das Stadtzentrum innerhalb von 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Sowohl die Zimmer und die öffentlichen Bereiche sind mit Lieben zum Detail eingerichtet. Von der Terasse aus kann man mit etwas Glück während des Frühstücks Wale in weiter Entfernung sehen. Es war alles sehr persönlich und herzlich. Eine tolle Adresse in Hermanus.

È stata un bellissimo soggiorno. Struttura di assoluto livello e tutti gli ambienti (comprese le camere da letto) sono arredate con estremo gusto. La colazione in veranda con vista sull’oceano impagabile. Se dovete pernottare ad Hermanus questo è il posto dove trascorrere il soggiorno coccolati dalla gentilezza del personale.

We hebben genoten van ons verblijf in het Guest house. Wat een prachtige ligging met uitzicht op de baai. Bij een beetje geluk wordt je tijdens het ontbijt ook nog begroet door een walvis. Erg vriendelijke en behulpzame mensen. Echt een aanrader.

Man fühlt sich sehr wohl. Gut für Walbeobachtung. sichere Umgebung. Gute Enpfehlung en für diner & Lunch

Leuke kleinschalig verblijf met een mooi uitzicht over de baai. Alles is op loopafstand. De bediening was top, ze dachten met je mee. Een aanrader om hier te verblijven.

Un lugar de ensueño para nuestra estadía familiar. Vista hermosa y el desayuno increíble. 100% recomendable.

Das Gästehaus war ein Traum! Lage, Service, Sauberkeit und die Zimmer einfach perfekt! Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen!

Wunderschönes Haus in bester Lage mit herrlichem Blick auf den Ozean. Wir wurden von Natasha sehr herzlich empfangen und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Ein kleiner, beheizter Pool lädt im Garten zum Entspannen ein, alles ist sauber und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet …Der Blick vom Balkon ist sensationell. Die Nähe zum Stadtzentrum und den Restaurants ist prima. Das leckere Frühstück genießt man ebenfalls mit herrlicher Aussicht aufs Meer. Alles ist bestens und absolut empfehlenswert. Danke Natasha ! Tout est super ! Emplacement, équipements accueil et conseils de l'hôte. Sans parler du petit déjeuner très copieux avec vu sur la mer ! Vous serez à 4 minutes à pieds de l'hyper centre et des restaurants, et au début du sentier pour observer les baleines

We were a family of four and received a warm welcome from the receptionist. The rooms are spacious and offer all the comfort you need for a relaxing holiday. The sea view room is absolutely breathtaking. Natasha, who manages the guesthouse, takes care of everything with great attention to detail. You won’t regret a single moment here — it’s a must-stay if you're visiting Hermanus.

Super spacious room with lovely views. Guest house is a short walk into town. Natasha was excellent host.

I planned a road trip around the overberg region and it started in Hermanus ( I am from California) . I looked at all the many options available and settled on La Fontaine based on the location and the photos of the property. I arrived early on check in day , but was met by very kind and friendly Natasha who sat down with me and took time to get to know me and find out about my visit. That made a very good first impression to me. I loved the older , traditional interior of the established beach house look. My room was huge with lots of space ( I think I booked the honeymoon suite) as it tool up nearly the entire front of the house. Having stayed in many many hotels and guest houses around the world ; some being extremely high end, there is definitely a sense that the guest house is due for a refit when it comes to the rooms. The bathroom particularly looks outdated , although I will state categorically that despite being old, it is very clean and well maintained. I loved the honesty bar in the room, and the tea kettle and coffee machine for those cups of tea during the day ( and the milk in the fridge is a nice touch too for ones tea). The pools both looked very inviting , but it was a bit too cold on the day to swim. Loved that the guest house has off street secure parking. The grounds are well tended to and looks fantastic . It's close to town to walk to the restaurants and shops and across the road is the cliff side walking path. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the breakfast offerings were great with a nice selection to suit everyones palate . If I come back to Hermanus , I would definitely stay here agin.

Comfortable room, great breakfast choice, secure parking, beautiful views, small pool. So handy for walking to shops and restaurants and access to the cliff path walk., view of sea .Staff very friendly, drinks available at honesty bar..
