Amazing. Impressive view. Great service. Excellent breakfast.

Stayed for 2 nights in this fabulous hotel overlooking the Hermanus Coast with coastal walks in both directions. We drove up and car parking was free and secure on site. From the minute we arrived we were welcomed and looked after extremely well with all staff friendly and helpful. We enjoyed an Ocean View Room with a spacious bathroom, huge comfortable bed and pleasant seating area. Service came with lots of complimentary touches! We decided to eat in the restaurant on the first night and the food was so good we also went back on night 2. Special mention to Sharon who looked after us so well on both nights. Breakfast was included in our stay and we were amazed at the level of choice and how delicious all the food was. We loved it here and if/when we visit Hermanus again we would definitely stay here.

Das Marine hat uns wieder sehr gut gefallen. Tolle Lage, schöne Zimmer, gutes Essen und freundliches Personal. Das Hotel liegt direkt am Meer in Hermanus und hat eine schöne Atmosphäre mit gelungenen Restaurants und Aufenthaltsräumen.

Wir hatten hohe Erwartungen an dieses Fünf-Sterne-Hotel, wurden aber leider enttäuscht. Wir hatten zwei Standardzimmer gebucht, die als gleichwertig beworben wurden – jedoch war nur eines davon akzeptabel. Das andere Zimmer war winzig und entsprach in keiner Weise einem Standardzimmer in einem Fünf-Sterne-Haus. Alle Standardzimmer scheinen zudem nur nach hinten hinauszugehen, was definitiv nicht zur angeblichen „Luxus“-Erfahrung beiträgt. Für den Preis, den wir bezahlt haben, hatten wir deutlich mehr erwartet. Insgesamt fühlte es sich eher nach vier Sternen an. Sehr schade, dass das Hotel den hohen Ansprüchen und Bewertungen nicht gerecht wird.

O hotel é MARAVILHOSO! Super luxuoso e ótimo hotel para ficar hospedado em Hermanus. A localização é excelente, fomos a pé para a região ali de Waterfront. O atendimento do hotel é nota 10, quarto super bonito e relaxante. Nos deram um upgrade para um quarto enorme, com banheiroa e vista para o mar, podendo ver até baleias pela varanda. Restaurante com uma comida requintada e gostosa. O café da manhã, que estava incluído na diária, era excelente - até mimosas foram servidas! Uma pena que demos azar com o tempo e estava chovendo - com certeza teria sido ainda mais incrível com um dia bonito.

Staying at the Marine was a wonderful and enjoyable experience. The staff are super attentive and professional making sure we felt completely at home. They went out of their way to get more soft drinks for our youngest for the room. The place is tastefully furnished and spotless. The children enjoyed the pool and our elder two loved the spanking new gym. The sea facing rooms are beautiful, spacious and have a balcony where one can relax and drink in the spectacular view. The food is delicious and they have a great wine list. This is the second time we have stayed here and love it just a little more. We will certainly be coming back 🪷🪷🪷
