A beautiful and historic inn set a lovely backdrop for a pre-Christmas family getaway. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating and the food was sensational.

Das älteste lizensierte Inn in Wales
Die fünf Übernachtungen im Groes Inn waren traumhaft. Das Zimmer war ruhig und gemütlich mit Blick auf Berge, Weiden, Schafe und Höfe. Walisische Idylle pur. Der Service war überaus freundlich und sympathisch. Das Restaurant ist sehr gut besucht, eine Tischreservierung stets zu empfehlen. Bei Sonnenschien kann man herrlich im Freien sitzen. Die Lage ist ideal für Ausflüge in Nordwales. Alle Ziele sind einfach zu erreichen. Das Highlight für uns war Bodnant Garden. Wir würden sofort wieder hier übernachten.

Didn’t get a good nights sleep 😩
Location was stunning. The room we stayed in was on the ground floor with the room door opening directly onto the car park. There was a gap at the bottom of the door that allowed bugs / insects to join you during your stay. We had 2 bugs IN the bed. People above you can be clearly heard walking / talking, Not ideal if you encounter people like we did who stayed up to watch tv until 1am. I would not return to this place and wouldn’t recommend it.

The Inn is beautiful, the service was excellent, the views were fantastic & the food was great. The only way in which I was disappointed was that I had asked beforehand if they would commemorate my sister's 70th birthday in some way, but this wasn't done.

Beautiful old pub with lovely accommodation. We had the family room, 2 adults & 2 kids. Great room, kids round the corner so everyone e has privacy! Lovely views out of their bedroom window. Dinner was delicious & staff very helpful & friendly. Unfortunately breakfast wasn’t as good. The waiter forgot our tea & a side order of bacon, was reminded & then forgot again (we never got them). My Hollandaise sauce was curdled then came back without sauce as it curdled again, & the soft boiled gags were hard!
BUT, would come back as everything else was great.

Quiet location set in countryside. Convenient for visiting local tourist attractions. Comfortable rooms. Staff attentive and helpful. Property/rooms needing a refresh

The bathroom was large (only issue water would get out of the shower area). comfortable beds- Wifi very poor-and need to clean the bugs around windows and doors. Breakfast was wonderful- lots of options.
