La sopa de mariscos estaba desafortunadamente en la constancia con el agua. Decepcionado con él, pero la pizza 10/10. Recibimos ayuda del jefe de camareros que fue muy amable y nos ofreció dos buenas bebidas. Con eso calculado sería un poco más espeso o más cremoso. El desayuno estuvo muy bien, uno de los mejores que hemos comido. La habitación también estaba genial donde teníamos a nuestro perro con nosotros, la recepcionista fue muy servicial cuando hicimos el check in. Tuvimos suerte con el clima y esperábamos que hubiera un poco más de invitados. Volveremos este invierno :-) :-) :-)

This place is a gem. Great views, great food, premium spa, and direct access to the ski slopes. We couldn't have been happier with this place. Breakfast is perfect with lots of options and a combination of standard and local recipes. The wine cellar is impressive and sommelier guided tastings are worthwhile.

We had a great relaxing time there. All stuff are so friendly and helpful for giving you what you want. The location and activities options are fascinating. We stayed 2 nights which made me to fill sad at the day of living and wish I could stay longer.

This could be a really lovely hotel and the majority of the staff are wonderful, especially in the restaurant and spa. Unfortunately though for some strange reason the reception staff are completely incompetent, arrogant and rude and it really lets the whole place down. From the moment of arrival to the minute we left the staff at reception could not have tried harder to be unhelpful. It’s surprising that any of them have been given a customer facing role especially considering that most other members of staff in other departments have the intelligence to be welcoming and helpful. On a positive note the rooms are comfortable, restaurant good although definitely better options in town. The spa is beautiful but it’s a shame that no preference is given to hotel guests and over the New Year period there were many non residents drinking heavily and being loud. Not quite the relaxing environment you expect. Overall a pleasant stay but if the management of the hotel really care about their guests then I would strongly advise they provide further training to the reception team.

Skarsnuten hotel is perfectly situated high above the valley with great views from the restaurant and SPA area. You can’t get closer to the slopes than this. Our deluxe room (no. 354) with nice mountain view was clean and with a super comfortable bed but relatively simple room standard. The bathroom was compact but fully stocked with toiletries. The underfloor heating was not possible to switch on or adjust so it was freezing cold during our stay. The best thing about this hotel is the great SPA area. We loved the outdoor jacuzzis with great panoramic view of Hemsedal. There is also a sauna, footbath, ice baths and a nice relaxing area. The breakfast was nice and the Wifi was fast and reliable. The service level during our stay was not what I expect for a hotel on this price level and that’s why I do not give it 5-stars. Regards Svein-Magne Tunli from Bergen, Norway.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and enjoyed a good quality of cleanliness and hospitality. The evening meals were limited in their choice, but the quality was excellent. Breakfast buffet could have been improved with more variety and the layout of the spread. Saying this, it was a good experience and we’d likely return here in future.
