Great view, saw Spinner Dolphins and Turtles playing in the water while sitting on the Lanai. Was looking for the first Whale sighting, but unfortunately was still a little too early. The A801 condo is like a dream! The views are absolutely breathtaking! It is well stocked, and the beds are very comfortable. The location is ideal. This place was outstanding. We loved watching the turtles in the water. Very short drive to all the stuff near Napili and Kaanapali. The construction others talked about is almost done so it didn't bother us. .The managers are extremely responsive! Highly recommend!

We just returned (myself, wife, and 16/13 year old daughters) from a 8-night stay at Honolani A603. Here are listing of pros and cons. Pros. Unit A603 was great. It was clean, everything worked, and came with an amazing view of the ocean. The furniture was super comfortable (both in the unit and on the lanai). It was extremely relaxing just sitting there watch the giant sea turtles swim by. The unit was very spacious for my family of four. We had friends come over for a sunset cocktail, and still felt like we had plenty of space (there were 9 of us total). We had access to a number of beach toys too, which were kept in the garage, making car loading very easy. The pool was nice enough, and the area was very pretty when lit up at night (pool lights and tiki tourches). Cons. The building itself was okay, but certainly not a Hawaiian Paradise. The look of the building gave me lower-mid end vibes. Not awful, but just not awesome. The property was undergoing major repairs, so I am sure that helped detract from the beauty. The property manager seemed anything by warm and fuzzy. Just watching her from afar made me glad to have no reason to interact with her. There were virtually no amenities onsite, with the exception of a small pool, nice looking barbeques, a few deck chairs, and underground parking. (by contrast, our friends staying across the street had tennis, pickleball, gardens, and a game room). The location felt safe but nothing to write home about (with the exception that it is in Maui on the water!). We had reasonable access to the Blow Hole, Kapaula, Napili, and Lahaina. There is no beach access on the property, but plenty within a 5 - 10 minute drive. The airport (OGG) is about an hour away. Wailea is about an hour away. There is a convenience store about 4 walking minutes, but it's priced about 70% more than the supermarket in Napili (so good for something quick, but I wouldn't want to shop there for the week). There's also a coffee shop in the same shopping center was seemed pretty decent (good mix of locals and tourists) There's a nice 2 mile walk (south) into Ka'anapali. You can't walk too far north due to road/bridge construction on the local road. There's a decent enough pool bar/restaurant about a 7 minute walk away (if you're looking for a cocktail with a water view). Not the best, but fine. If you are looking to be wowed by the wonders of Maui (like something out of the movies) check out Wailea. It is beautiful down there, but very expensive. If you are looking for a low key vacation in Maui, where you need a home base, but will be traveling to various parts of the island (by car), Honolani should do the trick. And certainly consider unit A603.

We reserved an oceanfront apar**ent (A203) to enjoy the ocean and the outside. Vacasa, the booking and management company, failed to disclose that much of the building is under renovation, including the grounds and the apar**ent next to our's, it was a big surprise when we arrived and saw a sign in the elevator announcing that some of the renovations would produce fumes that will be unpleasant and you should stay inside if it bothers you, Really? Workers carry materials back and forth all day long, passing our lanai each time, pounding and drilling goes on all day, there is a motor scooter parked outside the door to our apar**ent, presumably belonging to a worker. We didn't book this blindly, we had a couple of discussions with Vacasa reps where there was ample opportunity to tell us. Our vacation is ruined and at quite an expense. I understand buildings and apar**ents need updating, but to withhold this information from prospective renters is criminal. We should be compensated which we will pursue.

Condo was nicely furnished with most everything we needed, including an awesome view. We shared this trip with my wife's brother and his wife and both couples celebrated their anniversaries while there. The January sun works it's way across the lanai and into the condo so closing the curtains made a difference, just have to open them for the sunset if indoors. There are three gas grills for guest use and we took advantage of that, my brother in law and his wife both acquired a taste for fresh grilled fish. Sister in law commented about some road noise as they had the guest bedroom but said after reading a bit and falling asleep it didn't wake her.
