We stayed in the main house, check in was easy with good communication An absolute pleasure to stay in this beautiful accommodation!

Fantastic experience from beginning to end. The Magnolia cottage was very clean when we arrived. The jet tub and fireplace are amazing features and everything felt very cozy. They even had our room ready a couple hours ahead of schedule. I’d highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a getaway near Harrisonburg or Shenandoah.

Charming house is a well kept quiet neighborhood. I feel absolutely safe there. The bed was extra comfy, the room sparkling clean, the bath had a giant garden tub and a stand up shower. Plenty of hot water. Fresh water in the rooms, coffee pot, real cups, and coffee with amendments. Common area has ice and coffee. Outdoor seating on immaculate grounds. Plenty of shade. Close to downtown area. Uber ride was less than $11. Would absolutely stay there again. I was in the main house “Iris” room.

Absolutely amazing and cozy spot! Definitely a hidden gem and very responsive patrons! Definitely recommend this spot if you’re looking to relax or if you’re looking for a little getaway!

Everything was cozy, convenient, and comfortable when we entered the suite. Spacious main bedroom with a soft mattress. Thoughtful decoration of the living room. Everything you need for a quiet stay. And virtual check-in and check-out. Thank you, Jesse and Anna.

I just got back from staying at By The Side of the Road cottages and I have nothing but great things to say. The owners thought of everything. The bed, pillows, and linens were of superior quality and the touches throughout (snacks, your name on a welcome plate, high quality bath products) were noticed and appreciated! I enjoyed the relaxing jacuzzi with the double-sided fireplace being an added benefit. The owners were very kind. I highly recommend! I know I will be back.
