馬薩諸塞大學飯店(Hotel UMass)

I already booked and paid via *******. Upon checking in front desk could not find my reservation. After saying there were no rooms available. They then had to rebook me and told me I would not be charged. Only to find out I WAS charged and it was more than my first payment. Totally annoying experience. ******* and it’s hotels need to do better. I’m especially pissed since I was traveling with my child and I was getting the run around. So ghetto.

Overall it’s good but not crazy about only entry point for cars is via underground garage. Issues with this visit: When seasons change the entire climate control system shifts such that only AC works in late spring; no way to warm up the room except with a space heater. Also missing light bulb in bathroom. Despite requests to fix, no visits from maintenance over the course of our 3-night visit.

The room was clean and good over all. It was on a day before thanksgiving day when we stayed Hotel UMASS. It was a surprisingly good option for us dining at the 2nd floor of Worcester Common. Instead of going to the downtown for a dinner & lunch, we ate there. Traveling with little children, plenty of food choice both for grownups and kids, we even had a some turkey dinner. We all enjoyed so much! Thank you!!

The best hotel I have ever stayed in. Aesthetically, everything was absolutely beautiful, the view was even better. Everything was easy accessible, they had a list of tv channels and stations. I didn’t have to wrestle to get the wifi password. I’m 6’2 and have always had problems going to different places and finding a shower that I can use without having to bend just a bit or adjust, but this was the first time it’s ever been perfect, everything was perfect and I highly recommend, the fact that I’ve spent this long writing a review for a hotel speaks numbers in itself. I will be coming back.

Really friendly front desk workers, helpful, knowledgeable. They could use an update to their bed linen, it's not bad, but they didn't have elastic, so in the morning the bottom sheet was all out of the mattress... Apart from that and finding someone else's sock under a bedside table, all was fine. I'd stay there again.

1. Service: I was told check in time is 3:00 pm at booking, but when we arrived at the hotel around 4:20 pm, we were told we could only check in after 6:00 pm because they were short on staff. Why couldn’t they tell us earlier?! If we knew that, we could have visited some places nearby instead of waiting outside the lobby for almost two hours. And when finally we were able to check in, there were about 20 families waiting in line. It probably took the last in line an hour and a half to get their room key! Complimentary parking ($9) couldn’t compensate that at all. 2. Property: the room is not sound proof at all. At 2:30 am, there was a party going on in the room next to ours. There were shrieking, laughing, door slamming for two hours. I will never book a university hotel again. 3. Food: it has complimentary continental breakfast, but VERY limited food choices. Bottom line, I will never stay there again.
