"Wow. What can I say? The owners of this place have got it absolutely spot on! I stayed here in one of the 2 bed apartments and our friends stayed in the 1 bed. Both absolutely fantastic, spotless, great location, safe and secure. Showers are wonderful. We had a few rooms due to wedding at the nearby gosfield hall. Wonderful place"

"We stayed in the Captain Oates Room for 2 nights so we could attend a wedding at Hedingham Castle and I can't recommend enough. We arrived just before 8pm and were greeted by the landlady who was very accommodating. The room was absolutely lovely and had everything we needed. Separate shower and bath, which was brilliant for my young son who prefers baths. Breakfast was beautiful the next morning. Upon opening the fridge to get milk for my cup of tea that the jug had fallen over. I informed the landlady and just as I was getting ready to leave a lovely lady knocked on the door with a fresh jug of milk and said that she would clean the fridge. When I say lovely lady, she was genuinely just the nicest person, so friendly and chatty, even advised me when I asked her if I had my fascinator on properly. Then when at home, my husband got a call, I hadn't even realised that I'd left a ring in the room, but they kept it safe for me until it could be collected. I'd definitely return and highly recommend."

"If you're looking for a good priced, clean and comfortable room, look no further. The Dog Inn is a traditional boozer, with no thrills and the outside might put people off, but the welcome was warm and I wouldn't hesitate to book it again. When leaving, the pub is on a bad bend, so caution is required "

"Arrived at bar and staff were very helpful and polite. Room was very tied and in need of some deep cleaning and a coat of paint especially the radiator which was very rusted all across the front. Cannot work out where they had taken the pictures of the hotel rooms and Areas??. On also to stay if you like a bit of a bar atmosphere and noise from the elephants moving around at 02:20 in the morning above our room 3 for nearly an hour. Overall price was comparable for condition of the room."
