I loved this place!!! There’s a massage chair for u to wind down, a dining area, a working kitchen, washing machine, and a lovely bathtub. Not to forget the outdoor onsen. Super cool being in the onsen in the snow. The owner was so helpful from the start to the end of the trip. The only downside is the price 😁

We had a wonderful experience at Kunugi and recommend it wholeheartedly. The rooms and property were super cute and extremely well-equipped, with everything we could imagine needing. The onsen baths, and especially the outdoor rotenburo were special because they were private and my partner and I could enjoy together. The breakfast was delicious and healthy, with a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables. Finally, the staff were excellent, professional and friendly, the kind of service I'd get at a five-star hotel.

We couldn’t recommend this place more! If there was a 12 on the scale we would have rated it 12 on everything. The hosts were the most helpful we have ever experienced - helped us with everything from booking taxis, recommending where to ski for the day as well as printing manuals for how to prepare various noodles we had bought in the convenience store :) The room was beautiful, clean and felt very cozy and authentic. The breakfast was a culinary experience every day not to mention the onsen that became a highlight each afternoon. We will for sure come back here when we come to Hakuba next time!

Easily the best place I have stayed in in my life. If I could give this more than 5 stars I definitely would. Everything about this place was excellent - breakfast was perfect, Joe and his wife were so accommodating and helpful (they dropped us off at the ski resort on the first night!) Everything was amazing

Hôtel de charme familiale idéalement situé dans le quartier echoland de hakuba. Il est situé légèrement à l'écart de la rue principale à seulement 2 minutes à pied de la station de navette gratuite. La décoration est très soignée. La cuisine franco japonaise du chef est DELICIEUSE. L'établissement dispose de trois onsen privatisables dont un pour groupe. Le gérant, Jo san, et sa femme sont aux petits soins pour leurs clients. Mention plus pour les petits attentions et les petits mots de français! En un mot : subarashikatta ( c'était formidable).

Beautifully renovated rooms, with impeccable service. I’ve never experienced such high end, quality service. So much attention to detail and the private onsen was amazing. Not to mention the breakfast was spectacular as well! I would definitely go back here and probably only stay here when I go back to Hakuba.

My family and I had a wonderful 3 night stay. The owners and staff are warm and welcoming. The space is beautiful and calming. And, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast every morning. The private onsen is a must do. I highly recommend staying here if you are in the Hakuba area!

白馬近辺は古い宿が多いなかでは比較的新しくアジアン風でおしゃれな感じ。規模は小さい。多分６部屋くらい？お風呂は３箇所（１箇所は露天で雪見）あり、露天のみ予約制。温泉ではないが、貸切で時間制限もないので、ゆっくりできて良い。トイレ、洗面は部屋ごとに独立しているが、別な部屋になっている（廊下に一旦出る必要がある）謎な作り。まあそんなに不便ではないが、まあでも部屋の中にあると良いなとは思う。食事は創作フレンチ。まあ普通に美味しいが量的には少し物足りなく感じるかもしれない。あと夕食6:30, 朝食8:00と少し遅く感じる。朝早く出かけたいという向きには不向きかも。

Quite possibly the nicest hotel experience I've had. The staff was incredibly kind and hospitable (helping with suitcases, calling taxis, the private onsen luxurious, and the room well-appointed with thoughtful amenities like a massage chair and bluetooth speakers. The breakfast is a must. I only stayed one night but already felt incredibly refreshed. 10/10 would return.
