Avar Hotel

The hotel has really changed a lot compared to the 80s, but it's obviously a sudden boom after the opening. It's quieter now, there are children running around in the sauna and steam room downstairs, which is very disturbing. The not very large selection at dinner you have to wait for it when the food is replenished there were no food at all the bakery was ridiculous the dessert was like rubber there was hardly any selection and it is obvious from the staff that they are inexperienced and the hotel is not prepared to receive 100-200 people. The biggest problem is that the reception staff are not trained to handle guest complaints, which would be more important in a hotel. Maybe this hotel can do something on a simple weekday, but we left the hotel after one night during the holidays and for our four-night reservation.

What I liked: The hotel is located in a beautiful environment. It must have been recently renovated. The common areas are nice. Everything is clean. The deluxe room is spacious, except for the bathroom. Everything was clean. Everyone is kind. The kitchen is outstanding, with delicious flavors and a wide variety. What I didn't like: Every 10 minutes, the air conditioning made a loud noise, and I couldn't sleep properly. There was a sewage smell in the bathroom. The wooden chairs on the terrace are uncomfortable. In the wellness area, the water in the pools was 2-3 degrees lower than indicated; it wasn't warm at all, not even in the jacuzzi. The outdoor pool was particularly cold in the summer (outside temperature was 27 degrees). Although the outdoor pool is open until 9:00 PM, the mattresses were taken away by 7:30 PM. The sauna area is boring and had an unpleasant smell.

Very kind and helpful staff. The food is excellent. Rooms are very clean, well equipped, the beds are very comfortable. Family friendly hotel with facilities for all ages. Outdoor and indoor wellness and fitness facilities serve all kinds of needs.Highly recommended.

Avar Hotel was a lovely nice place. It looked great inside, it was spacious. We loved the restaurant and the café. Parking was easy, there was big parking area in front of the hotel. The staff was really nice.

Our favourite hotel. The staff is amasing.Food is excellent. The place is just perfect. There is no better place in Hungary. Highly recommended. If you want to have a perfect holiday ,then you must visit this hotel. You will not be disappointed.
