Every year we (as a group of 8 friends from school) go away for a 4 day weekend. This year we had the privilege of all coming home to Gulgong, to stay at Owl Head Lodge. Rob was so easy to deal with via phone & email & the place is just amazing. We had the Glass Cottage, the 2 Glass Studio's East & West & the Shearers Quarters West. We were welcomed with a bottle of Red, & settled in for our stay. The rooms are so beautifully presented, the Cottage had everything you could possibly need & all within a 5 min drive to town. With such a spectacular view, you could easily waste away a day just relaxing at Owl Head. When it's Gulgong's time again, we'll absolutely be back!

It’s a Fantastic and amazing place. Views are stunning, everything thing is impeccable and comfortable. I stayed because I had to go to the area for business, but I will be returning with the family to enjoy it with them. Rob is very friendly and helpful.

Wow, I feel like I won’t write this well enough to convey how happy we were with our stay. From the easy and seamless booking through to checkout, we had the most amazing stay here. My husband and I with our two children, stayed in one of the modern shearer’s cottages. From the moment we drove into the driveway, we felt an immediate sense of peace. Once unpacked, we took a stroll up the country driveway, we stopped to chat to the gorgeous friendly animals in the paddocks along the way. The accomodation was immaculately clean, spacious, & every single little thing had been thought of. The beds were so comfortable, heating was perfect on a cold night, the toiletries provided were of top quality & smelt gorgeous. We were lucky enough to be the only ones there on this occasion, & the family time was beautiful. The pool looks it would be lovely in summer with a wide deck, with views right over the countryside. There was a lovely fire pit area behind our accomodation, with a good supply of wood available. It was a quick drive into Gulgong for dinner, & an easy 20min drive into Mudgee the next day for our sporting commitments. We will 100% be back again, & would highly recommend Owl Head Lodge to anyone.

My husband and I stayed in the west cottage a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it. The cottage had everything we needed and was so quiet and peaceful. The sunsets were amazing and loved walking around to say hello to all the animals on the property. It was only a 15 minute drive from Mudgee but far enough away from the crowds. Would definitely recommend Owl Head Lodge you anyone looking for somewhere beautiful to stay in the area.

Could not recommend this accomodation more, absolutely amazing and 20 mins drive out of Mudgee which is fantastic! Beautiful accomodation with beautiful views! Fantastic for a girls trip away and also perfect for a family holiday and amazing communication with the owners!

What a magnificent place! The perfect venue for a group of old school friends to meet up after more than 30 years. We each had our own "cottage" so we had privacy when wanted plus a comunal hub in a central cottage. Wonderful views, beautiful sunrises, well stocked and very clean,, we couldn't have found better. Friendly staff as well. Different people in our group are already planning to go back. Whether for a couple, family gathering or friends, this is a great find!
