We went to the Sandals Gande St. Lucian for our Honeymoon. We had an amazing experience. The one downside to this resort is the travel distance from the airport. The butler team of Trancha, Malaika, and Shervan were amazing and went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special. They catered to our every "need" from making reservations to ensuring our breakfast was in our room when we wanted to reserving us our pool spot to ensuring we had the best time. One thing that was particularly great was getting to know them. Their personalities, knowledge, and overall joy made us love St. Lucia more than we ever expected. Not only were they great, but everyone at the Sandals resort made us feel special. They love their country so much and take lots of pride in it. We cannot wait to visit again so we can sit by the pool bar with Peter and enjoy his incredible drinks.

We just returned from an amazing week at the Grande! St. Lucia is incredible! The resort is beautiful and the staff is kind, friendly and attentive. Our butler team of Clynns, Jackie and Uriah were fantastic. Alton from the photo shop is awesome and Peter at the swim up bar is the best bartender ever!! He always went above and beyond! The Island Routes staff was knowledgeable and so much fun. We are already planning our return trip!

Visite pour 13 jours en octobre-novembre 2022. Long transfert de 2 heures vers le resort. La première déception était notre chambre. Nous avions choisi une chambre vue sur l’eau sans comprendre que cela était une vue arrière. L’hôtel est sur un bras de terre qui sépare la mer Caraïbe de l’océan Atlantique. Notre vue sur l’eau était une vue arrière sur l’Atlantique qui était a 100 mètres derrière les jardins de l’hôtel, une rangée d’arbres et une route passante. Il fallait beaucoup d’imagination pour voir et sentir la vue sur l’eau. De plus notre chambre était dans le dernier bâtiment qui donnait sur la plage publique voisine et ses toilettes. Vraiment décevant. La chambre elle même était de bonne grandeur. Chambre de bain refaite et douche spacieuse. Meubles de la chambre dépareillés et datant d’une autre époque. Lit très confortable. Belle literie. Tapis très très sale sous et autour du lit. On voit le sommier jauni sous le matelas. Le reste de la chambre est très propre. Vraiment pas une chambre de luxe. Le site de l’hôtel est magnifique. L’aménagement du site coté plage est magnifique. La plage a 200 mètres et est très belle. Aucune vague mais très agréable pour la baignade. Zéro algue. L’eau était très confortable. L’aménagement de la plage est très beau mais 90% des chambres ombragées sont réservées pour les clients en classe club. La piscine principale est très grande et très propre. Très beau bar et excellent service. Forte animation. Autres piscines sur le site pour ceux qui souhaitent plus de tranquillité. Propreté très ordinaire pour certaines. Globalement la nourriture a été décevante. Plus de 10 restaurants. Mention d’honneur pour les deux restaurants asiatiques et le restaurant indien qui offrent une belle expérience culinaire. Le reste des restaurants offre une nourriture correcte. Cuisine peu imaginative, cuisson et préparation inégale. Vraiment pas gastronomique. Le même vin correct tous les jours. Le petit déjeuner buffet était médiocre. Hôtel 3 étoiles. Pas de barista. Café à la machine. Plusieurs bars. Très bons cocktails. Accès à un golf très beau et très intéressant à jouer. Frais de cart. Nous avions nos bâtons sinon très dispendieux à louer. Navette efficace pour aller-retour . 10 minutes du resort. Le personnel était très gentil et serviable. Bon. Je pensais aller dans un resort luxueux. Ma chambre était très décevante. La nourriture était très ordinaire. Première et dernière expérience au Sandals.

Very nice resort with a variety of tasty eating options, comfortable rooms, beautiful beach, and attentive staff. The facilities are are well-placed with secluded areas and popular areas throughout. It's a little bit of an older Sandals and the new layouts are more efficient, but it is well-maintained, especially the grounds which were immaculate. The beds were comfy, climate control was great, bathrooms had lots of hot water with good pressure, and housekeeping impressively stopped by twice daily to keep the room clean, restock, provide turn-down service, etc. The staff was cheerful and competent. The large gym had nice modern equipment, fresh towels, infused water, and was never crowded. We went on several dive trips to fantastic reefs and wrecks. Of particular note was Marcus Joseph, the knowledgeable dive master, who gave personal attention to all divers, maintained strict safety protocols, and made the trips fun and interesting. When one diver discovered they had dropped their dive computer after we boarded the boat, he retrieved it in about 5 minutes from the bottom of the sea - amazing. Lisa at the breakfast buffet was very sweet and gave us a warm greeting every morning. We had a fantastic vacation marked by impeccable customer service that seems to be the hallmark of Sandals.

We just spent a week at the Grande St. Lucian and it was fantastic! The resort is absolutely gorgeous and the people were wonderful. We were there during Hurricane Berle and the staff did an amazing job making sure the guests felt safe, ate and drank well, and had a good time during Beryl’s visit.

We just got home last night from a fantastic trip to Sandals Grande in St. Lucia. Pros: The entertainment staff was phenomenal. Every day they had games by the pool and did not disappoint with the entertainment at night. They were super personable and mingled with the guest. I can’t praise Neville, Cassius, Tomeka, Abigail, Diesha, and Mauka enough. I would go back to this resort just for them. They kept us laughing and were so welcoming. The shows at night were great as well. One night it started to rain but they didn’t miss a beat and kept On going. We were super impressed. Our favorite was definitely the silent disco. We laughed for 2 hours. So much fun! We had an amazing pool bartender who made the best drink we had all week. Her name was Gail and no one made our drink like her. She was amazing! Novon was another great bartender who made us some great drinks as well. The views at this resort are amazing. No matter which direct you looked, it was beautiful. Our food at Gordon’s was the best and Andre our bartender that night made our meal. He was helpful and so accommodating. He definitely made our experience fantastic there. We did the snorkeling trip that they offer as well and our guides Brandon and Ron were great. There was another lady with the training and she was hilarious. We enjoyed her as well. Cons: Our service at the restaurants was very slow. Most nights, our dinners took about 2.5 hours and that was with us having reservations. We were a party of 8 but the choices are limited at dinner so I didn’t feel like it should take that long. The elevator in our building wasn’t working and we were told it had been out for a week. Unfortunately our room was on the 4th floor. We ended up using the staff elevator all week. The cleaning staff was not great at restocking our linens like towels and washcloths. We did have to remind them on several occasions about that. The Palledum room needs some updating. I feel like most of the resort is really nice however that room is used for several events and it leaves little to be desired. It is very hot in that room and just needs updating. The billiard room was nice but the dart boards had few darts that were actually together. That could definitely be updated as well. It was also frustrating that there was only ONE American plug in our room and it was out in the living room area. There were zero in the bathroom. I just wish I had known to take some adapters. Last, the AC in the rooms. That’s got to be improved. I felt like we were hot for a week. I’m quite positive that the AC ran 24/7 but the rooms did not seem to cool. In the evening when you shower, you have to keep the bathroom door open because there is no ventilation. So if you can get a fan in your suitcase, I highly recommend it. Overall, this trip ranks as one of our favorites!
