Staff extremely helpful. Restaurant and bar were great. Lots of historic buildings are walking distance. Everyone is soo friendly.

Wish there were more hotels left like this in America. Truly a gem and in the heart of a beautiful small town in SC. Support locally owned historic hotels like this, we need these in our communities. Will be back!

Such a lovely and quaint hotel. If you're looking for something that's not cookie cutter, in an adorable town, the Belmont is it.

The Belmont is a hotel over 100 yrs old. It is rich in history and antiques. However, its age makes it susceptible to drafty winds (cold bedrooms) and poor maintenance. Much of the hotel needs some TLC from a handyman and clean or new carpeting. Our bed was uncomfortable, too. I felt the experience did not meet the high price tag. Overall, ok, but we won’t stay there again.

The building is circa 1903 and it's really an amazing place. We were there at Chris**astime and all of the decorations were tasteful and fantastic. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the town around the hotel is adorable! We highly recommend this inn.

This well-maintained historic Inn is located on the edge of the town square. The staff were friendly and helpful. Upon check-in, I enjoyed sipping my complimentary drink on the veranda, overlooking the well-lit and festively decorated downtown area at sunset. I then enjoyed walking the square and checking out one of the many local restaurants. Although I chose a standard basic room, there are a variety of room options for just a few dollars more. I also enjoyed my morning simple buffet-style breakfast in the hotel before heading out for the day.

Lovely hotel, and if you are planning on staying over the weekend then don't miss the opportunity to have they Southern Luncheon on Sunday!

Cons No outlets (A white hanging extension cord from lamp plug was the only available outlet for our use) No mirrors (except bathroom) No table for suitcase 1 chair (very crowded) Small room Loud (hear snoring in adjacent room) Poor dim lighting (3 lamps only) No bathroom vent fan Water stains on ceiling Bed sagged in middle No microwave Have dress and leave room for coffee

The young lady at the front desk was so friendly and kind. She made us feel that she wanted us to enjoy out stay. And we did. Thanks to her cheerful attitude. The bar tender was also very kind. We ordered food and it was very good. Thanks to all for an enjoyable stay. We will definitely tell our friends and family to stay at the The Belmont Inn, Abbeville, SC.
