We have stayed here once a year for the last 6 years for an annual event we attend, and great to see a refurb has finally taken place. Stayed in a premier plus room, very comfortable and at the standard expected, only downside was lack of free view channels on TV, a very limited viewing option. Only premier plus rooms have air conditioning. The reception staff when checked were great, very friendly and personable. We booked to go to breakfast on the Saturday of our 2 night stay, this is at the pub next door and advertised in the rooms. This was the only thing that let the hotel down and stopped it being a 5/5 for me. Breakfast should have started at 8am, went to pub and it was locked and in darkness, asked at hotel reception and didn’t seem interested. Opened about 5 mins later, but nothing was out or ready, no acknowledgment from the member of staff not even a hello. The tea and coffee you make yourselves and are just the sachets of coffee with a hot urn of water. Decided to give it a miss and grabbed breakfast elsewhere.

No food available at this Premier Inn. Breakfast and meals are available next door at the pub. If you like microwave meals and deep fried then it’s a winner. There’s insufficient water pressure to take a shower. And the room heating didn’t work. The receptionist advised that the hotel is having a make over in March. But what about those paying customers who stay between now and then.

The pub next door where the breakfast is served is scruffy, smelly and despite trying various options on the cooked breakfast menu (including beans on toast) I failed to find anything edible This time I went for the continental option so had cereal coffee and toast, the coffee was awful and the bread was rock hard even befote it went in the toaster. This is a shame as there are few options locally for food. Their evening meals are no better unfortunately

Refurbished rooms are really lovely, and bed as always so comfortable. The reason i dont usually leave reviews on here is that they insist I use 200 characters, so blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah

A nice restful hotel that came up to expectation. Whilst the Hungry Horse restaurant was OK for the evening meal the breakfast did disappoint. For price asked for the breakfast I would have expected a, little bit more quality. However it didn't detract to much from the stay. 🤓

I stay at this hotel whenever i am on a business trip to my head office in Northampton. I find the location ideal based on the edge of town with such easy access road wise to all the major routes. The hotel has recently undergone a refurb and the premier plus rooms are spot on in terms of comfort, quietness and cleanliness. I have on many occasions been greeted by the friendly welcoming face of Nichola on the reception desk who has always remained both polite, supportive and throughout my stays which does give you the feeling that nothing is too much trouble to ensure that us customers enjoy their stay.
