大急流城Homewood Suites by Hilton

This is the worst experience I've ever had.I booked this place before hand and called them and they assured my room and everything,and i call once again right before I arrive,keep in mind i drove 3 hours because I have a convection with my employees,after I arrive there was no cars and the door was locked,after waiting for 5-10 mins a lady that looked homeless looking came out and we said we had a resversaration and she said the hotel was sold and it was closed,and we were explaining how we just called a lady and we paid almost 600 hundred for this hotel!

I reviewed this location in July 2017, which I gave them 5 stars. I had booked (June20th) this hotel for my mom & 3 aunts, due to having some problems with a home renovations. It was booked the same day as arrival. This location is perfect with many restaurants & businesses around this location. They went to grab dinner then checked in to the hotel. They sent my pictures of the room, I was completely shocked & horrified of the conditions of the room. Pictures included mold in the ceiling of the shower, shower vent peeling paint, table leg cracked, window casing cracked and holes in the wallpaper in the bathroom. This is the second Homewood Suites in Grand Rapids that I’ve had to give less than stellar reviews. I absolutely love the Hilton brand, but I’m not sure what’s going on with the Grand Rapids locations. These hotels are in need of some much needed TLC maintenance ASAP. I was so embarrassed I had booked this for them, but I wanted a spacious room for them.

Room smelled bad. Woke up early so I could get out of there. No waters or snacks for Hilton Honors. Pantry was bare. Said they were waiting for deliveries. No shower gel in container on bathroom wall. Curtain sheets were threadbare with tons of holes. Bedside lamps didn’t work. No charging outlets on nightstands. Room was not overly clean. Breakfast was sparse. Worse than Hampton Inn. Employees were in dining area talking, eating, not at front desk. No one cares here.
