I am usually skeptical about small motels and tend not to choose them as a place to stay for travel; however, I was SO pleasantly surprised about The Top Notch Inn. Excellent front desk service, very clean room, great little pool, and a sense of safety and security were had by us recently. The town of Gorham itself is a bit run down and several empty store fronts but this little motel was a gem. We stayed here on our way to Maine. The Glen House and Mount Washington are a 10 minute drive away so drive the Auto Road and have dinner at The Glen House.
