Excellent stay

My second stay here, and definitely not my last. I can't sleep well unless the room is dark, and these are the best blackout shades I've ever found in a hotel room! Despite being close to the 494 Freeway, the room is absolutely quiet. The bed is very comfortable. The restaurant serves breakfast and dinner, and has excellent hamburgers. It's convenient to the freeway, and close to gas stations and a Perkins restaurant about a mile south. I think I've found my go-to hotel for my Minneapolis stays.

The room ordered on line was not the room we were assigned. Plumbing of bathroom sink amateurish, and size of bed smaller than the queen requested. The room itself was small and crowded. Not worth the price paid.

Freezing pool, unusable, sad when you have children that are looking forward to playing. Floor around pool was extremely slippery.

Checking in and out was smooth. Wifi was fast! And the location was great in that most places I wanted to visit weren’t too far away. Parking was included and I felt safe in the area. My only concerns were being on the first floor and near the housekeeping area, it was always so loud early in the mornings around 4-6am (people outside talking) as the walls were quite thin. Also, poor lighting in the rooms. There were like 4 lamps and I couldn’t open the window as it was a view of the parking lot. I think there was something going on in the hotel during the weekend I stayed there as it sounded like there was karaoke going on on Sunday night so not sure if they enforce curfew. It didn’t bother me much since I sleep with ear plugs and it’s expected being in a large building with other people, just thought it would be much quieter given the location. Overall I’d rate my stay a 6/10.

check in was at 3 and we didn’t get into our room until nearly 9pm due to short staff and no manager was there to do damage control. we waited 3 hrs for our room to get cleaned and there were several other people waiting as well. many people ended up canceling and staying somewhere else.

Hotel was very close to Mall of America and the airport. The rooms are a little small, so I wouldn’t have more than 3-4 people to a room. But overall, the experience was nice! I would recommend this hotel
