The kids were in another room! Grand ma slept well as well ! We just needed to find our own food, they hotel has no breakfast offered.

This was a great place to stay. The room was big enough and had everything we needed including fridge and microwave. There was a large flat screen tv and the bathroom seemed to have been renovated recently. The water was hot and the pressure great! The bed was comfortable and the entire room was clean. There were a couple of chairs and a table on the small seating area in front of our room but it was too cold to sit outside. The hotel is close to downtown Goderich as well as the beach. We were greeted with two bottles of water and two cans of cola. Great spot and would definitely recommend .

I dont see whats the reason behind all the bad reviews. People have to realize that this isnt 5* hotel but a budget motel. If you want frills and spotless environment, there are other places to stay at in Goderich. - basic motel room with mini fridge, microwave, tv, coffee maker - bed is new and comfortable - room could do with a better cleaning, but who cares really - bathroom with bathtub/shower and good pressure hot water (toiletries provided) Negative!!!! The Air Condition unit. Lets just say that if this is on at night, you are NOT sleeping. Bring good earplugs. In short, perfect stay for a weekend, in a great location. Check in was smooth and check out easy. Owners are on property and keeping the place tidy and well

We had a lovely stay here in early July. The room wasn't huge but it was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The property has a cute outdoor pool with lounge chairs. Our girls had a great time in the pool. The owners are a friendly family who supplied us with free pop and water on check in and on check out. The motel is a reasonable walk to the town centre as well. This is a pet friendly property so there were lots of cute dogs to observe during out stay. We had a perfect weekend here while visiting the area.

I cancelled this reservation in March, but they still charged me. When I reached out to them, they were rude and unapologetic. I contacted the booking company who assured me that I would be refunded. Then they charged me a 2nd time! I have again reached out to the booking company. Harmony Inn should be avoided at all costs. They are rude and clearly unprofessional.

Low budget hotel but what turned me off the most was that we were really stuck for accommodations for one night on a long weekend and he charged us close $400 for a $100 room. Rip off. Could not get out of there fast enough.

The Harmony Inn front desk/manager provided excellent customer service and exceeded my expectations. The bed was very comfortable. The Harmony Inn fulfilled all of its promises. The internet was fast, the tv, fridge and microwave in working order. The room and bathroom were clean. The Inn was centrally located and we were able to visit our points of interest.

Harmony Inn is centrally located in Goderich, Ontario. There is ample free parking. It is a motel. We stayed in a room with 2 Queen beds. The room includes a half size refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. The room is quiet, in that we were away from the road. We also did not hear any noise from the adjoining rooms. A drawback which gave the 3-star rating: There was mould on the wall in the bathroom. The mould appeared to be there for quite some time and was black. The mould was there when we first entered the room. It is possible the mould came from moisture from the shower. We should have, but did not bring this to the attention of the hotel management while we were there.

When I arrived I showed them my confirmation # thru Booking. Com & they told me they had no record of it. I needed a place to stay so I paid for a room at a higher rate. A room that I had booked for $553.00 ending up costing me over $1200. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Guests can sit outside their rooms with visual privacy, yet talk to one and other if you wish. Made for a friendly atmosphere. Only downside was that it seemed the floor had not been washed for some time.

We went in May to this hotel on a Sunday night the owner had said at time of check in that the rooms weren't clean because so many people just stayed there the night before. He walked around to a few rooms while I stood in the lobby. He decided room 14 was good, check in otherwise was fine. Once in the room we heard noise at the back window and he was out there fixing the ac box which was quite odd since it was kind of chilly outside. That night we were the only car in the whole parking lot. Parking lot had lights and we felt safe. Room was clean, fancy colours and we left we no issues the next morning.

Steer clear - Would give -5 star if I could. We booked this Inn in April for between our house sale and new house 11 days. He gave away our room first two nights, upped our weekend rate by twice our original rate, then said he had cancellations and offered our room back to us at 3x the price. Said he’s a private business so he can do what he wants. So be warned you risk if you have a room or not, or expect to pay more than you reserved

Horrible experience. Stayed here in a busy weekend. We had booked our night for 143$ and received confirmation via Agoda. Once we arrived to check in, the owner (Harry) told us that he told ******* to contact us and let us know that the rate that we booked with is incorrect and it’s actually 200$/night and he cancelled our reservation. We told him we booked with Agoda and he said it didn’t matter because it’s all “third party stuff” and we should have received a cancellation email from *******. We told him we never received a cancellation email, text, or call and showed him our confirmation of reservation email. He repeatedly said that that’s not his problem and that if we don’t want to stay there we don’t have to, and it’s our responsibility to call ******* to confirm the reservation. I explained to him that we received a confirmation email of our booking so there would be no reason to call. He said it didn’t matter, and this is the price, so we either take it or leave it. We tried to find somewhere else to stay but we both knew we would have no where else to stay on such short notice. He definitely took advantage of a busy Goderich weekend. We realized he decided to change the rate after we booked and our booking wasn’t with *******, it was with Agoda (which isn’t even owned by *******, it’s owned by Booking Holding), whom he never contacted to try and inform us of the cancelled reservation. We went back to explain this to him the next morning and were met with a very aggressive attitude. His customer service skills were atrocious and began yelling at us publicly. We have stayed in numerous motels and hotels and have never had an experience like this before. Also, he lectured us in how he has been in business for 37 years and encouraged us to write a bad review - yet didn’t know that Agoda isn’t owned by *******. Hope the extra 60 odd dollars was worth losing us and anyone reading this as customers, Harry.

Stay away from this filthy motel. The owner is a venomous crook and it shows in how he treats his property. Harry (the managing owner) is very shady. We made our reservation earlier in the week and when we arrived Harry told us he had cancelled the reservation the day we booked because "******* gave a bogus rate" ($149 which was comparable to other motels in the areas) and the actual rate was $60 (!) more per night. I told him we booked with Agoda and he said it doesn't matter ******* owns all of them (it doesn't by the way) and it's not his problem that I never got any form of notification that the booking was cancelled. He told us he has one room left but we'd have to pay the increased rate. We called all the local inns but it was a busy weekend and no one had any rooms so we were stuck between driving back home 4hrs or be cheated by this awful man. We should have gone home. The room was musty and we found ants in several corners. For the price he is charging per night you can book a much nicer stay at Cedar Lodge or even the Comfort Inn. Stay away from the Harmony inn! Positive reviews are made by his friends and family.
