野貓飯店及小酒館(Wildcat Inn and Tavern)

Can’t say enough nice thing about Wild Cat:room, food, cleanliness, etc. if you can, check out dinner and music the tavern on Tuesday night.

This is our second stay at the Wildcat Inn. The first was 4 years ago. This is a perfect laid back location. The people were great and went over and above during our stay.

The Tavern & Inn is very nice - but closed two days per week. Happened to be when we were there. Unfortunately no information was given and no information about what to do getting in and out of a "closed" hotel!

Had to do self checkin. No one there on property. Guess that maybe standard for them. Did not even do a late checkin

Hotel is situated in a lovely area. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was fairly spacious, although the bathroom was a weird shape - the toilet bowl didn't allow the door to open fully and you had to squeeze through a small gap to actually get into the room. We had a good night's sleep in a comfortable bed. No breakfast, but there are a couple of nice places in town, one of which is only two doors down from the hotel. Would certainly come back here if we pass through the area again. Only a couple of small minus points. Firstly it would've been nice to have a fridge in the room. Secondly, it was a little frustrating to go out for the day and return in the evening to find the parking lot entirely occupied by tavern customers, so perhaps some parking spaces reserved for hotel guests would be a good idea.

The food does not support the prices they charge, nor does the wine. Chicken Pot Pie tastes like something out of a can. Even House wine very expensive for a 4-5 ounce pour. Menu limited and expensive. What ever happened to the Tavern menu?? Used to be Dinning Room that was pricey, but could always go into the Tavern for burgers, apps, and a glass of wine or beer for a reasonable price. Live in Jackson and very disappointed that we won't be dropping in again soon.

We remember The Wildcat as an exceptional eating place from visits in years past but our visit today was somewhat disappointing. The vegetarian option was not available and although an alternative was offered it did not appeal. Bread and water was offered at outset but the bread never arrived. Food was good but not the outstanding that we had on previous visits some years ago.

Horrible experience. We were in the bar having dinner. The waiter brought all the meals except mine. He said he forgot to put my order in. He said it would be out in 10 minutes. After waiting another 20 minutes, I asked him how long it was going to be. He said “it takes what it takes”. In a very irritable tone. I then complained to the manager Hannah and finally got my food. But then the waiter stopped waiting on us. We complained to Hannah the manager again and she had a complete meltdown. Needless to say, we didn’t get any more service. No more drinks, no dessert. They just stopped waiting on us. The next morning I went downstairs to get ice, and no ice. The staff had lost the key to the bar where the ice machine is. The re were other issues as well. The manager Hannah was so aweful. Horrible experience.

This is a perfect place to stop while touring New England scenic back roads. I made the resveration through trip advisor, it said historic tavern,it was great. In all my travels never stayed in such charming building. With a great staff, reasonable rates I will plan to return, I to had room 312, a charming stay
