長島梅爾維爾萬豪飯店(Marriott Melville Long Island)

My experience went from good to not so good. My room was on the 4th floor, pretty far from the front desk. It wasn’t an issue until my key card didn’t work on 3 separate times and I had to go all the way down to the front desk every single time. I was late to dinner Saturday night because when I had to get my wallet out of my room the key was not working. So o had to go all the way down and wait for someone to give me a new card. Such such an inconvenience.

Did not like that I was at the far end of the hotel nor that shower had no bars for grabbing in case of slipping. When I ordered room service, I told them I needed cream and sugar for the coffee because there was none left in my room. Black coffee was sent no cream or sugar, staff said I should use what is in the room, again J informed three I had none, None was ever sent up.

This was my first stay at the Marriott Melville. Room decor was pleasant and updated. I liked the mood lighting, tv options, and shower toiletries. I was also happy with the room service options. The front desk staff was friendly, however, I think they forgot to ask me for a credit card for incidentals at check in. This resulted in me receiving a call and email from accounting after check out to resolve this issue. Overall, my guest room was clean, except for a previous guest's hair in the shower. I also feel the parking lot could have more lighting. I arrived at night to a full lot, and felt uncomfortable walking alone from the back of the parking lot to the entrance.

Staff wonderful and it’s nice to have a nice bar and restaurant in the hotel - Sunday breakfasts are also outstanding- highly recommend the hotel. My only complaint- really a suggestion- there could be better room signage as many rooms face inside the hotel and entry doors are in opposite hallway.
