巴爾的摩華盛頓機場威斯汀飯店(The Westin Baltimore Washington Airport - BWI)

I looked at all the BWI airport hotels carefully before booking, and decided that the Westin was probably the best. Now having stayed there I'm pretty sure I was right. The place is clean and modern, with a spacious lobby and updated design in the rooms. The blackout curtains are some of the best I've ever seen: I woke up at 8:30am convinced it was still the middle of the night. The bathroom has a great shower, was clean and fully stocked with towels. Really everything I could have asked for.

1. Shower didn’t work. 2. Had to hold the drain stopper in order for the water to drain out of the tub. 3. I arrived late. Had to park in the dark “back 40” and still had to pay full price for parking. AFTER walking ALL the way back up to the front door to get in. 4. I felt safe. Which is important as a solo traveler 5. It was quiet. Which was lovely that close to the airport. 6. I paid full price for parking. WTH. 7. As I was checking out I shared the issues with the room. Nothing was offered in return. What was said was “would it be ok if I sent the receipt to you via email?” Really. Ok. 8. The sheets didn’t stay on the mattress. So…seeing the stains on the oddest locations on the mattress was almost more than I could stomach. It was late. I was tired. Westin, do BETTER. 9. I paid full price for parking. Ok. Enough. Do better Westin. You charge a great deal for an overnight stay. And for parking. And I had to walk late at night. Alone. Not cool. At. All.

An older building kept nice. Good sound insulation. Convenient location. Good price for days between Thanksgiving and Christmas. The only thing is that the front desk didn’t know we paid for breakfast. We had to ask, then got the vouchers.

We have stayed at many Westins in the past and will generally choose them over other hotels but this one was a real disappointment. First, and most importantly, two of the lights in the bathroom were not working making it very difficult to do my make-up or put in contacts. I called the desk as soon as we checked in but nothing was done. Room service took nearly an hour and a half to deliver breakfast. The air conditioning was frigid and we were unable to adjust it. Not up to the Weston standards.

The room is beautiful with plenty of space. Unfortunately, We only booked here for the hot tub which was broken. I tried to take a bath but the tub was in disrepair.

The property and staff are excellent, but I did not sleep the entire night because the air handler for the AC was in or near the room and made too much noice and kept me up all night.

The airco is so old that when it turns on it feels like someone is doin the lawnmower in the room. Impossible to sleep with either the noise or the heatwave at that time of the year in the area.

Hotel is dingy. Sheets were rough and scratchy. Stains on sofa and carpet. Wallpaper was peeling off wall.
