克瓦迪罕52號民宿-根特音樂飯店(B&B Kwaadham 52 - Music Hotel Ghent)

Conditions inacceptables! Prix payé 180€ la nuité, sans petit-déjeuner. Enormément de poussières (chambre pas dépoussiérée depuis des semaines), traces au sol (chambre pas nettoyée), pelottes de poussière dans la garde-robe, présence de toiles d'araignée dans les coins (salle-de-bain et espace literie), matelas défoncé, coin cuisine à côté de la chambre très sale, vaisselle sale. Aucune réaction appropriée de la part de l'hôtel!

Bellissima casa in centro a Gent: al pian terreno c'è un meraviglioso negozio di pianoforti, una sala per la colazione e un cortile che ospita un caffè con serate musicali (dalle stanze comunque non si sente la musica). La nostra stanza era all'ultimo piano: ampia ed elegante con travi a vista e grandi finestre apribili. Fin qui tutto molto bene. Quello che abbassa la mia valutazione è il servizio totalmente impersonale: nelle condizioni di prenotazione era specificato che non ci sarebbe stata la reception ma mi aspettavo un messaggio di benvenuto almeno via whatsapp e qualche materiale informativo sulle attività in zona. Non abbiamo usufruito della colazione perché piuttosto costosa: nelle immediate vicinanze non ci sono però bar/pasticcerie e, essendo domenica, abbiamo dovuto camminare una decina di minuti prima trovarne una.

We chose to stay here due to location and being a smaller hotel. The location is fantastic. Short walk to just about everything in the city center. Finding the hotel was confusing as it’s located in a piano store. There is only an small Plaque stating the name of the hotel with no instructions on how to get inside. Our room was clean and the 2 of us had plenty of room. We had to walk up 2 flights of stairs with luggage so be warned. The host was very nice and had plenty of pamphlets & maps available. However, this is the last we saw of her of the 2 nights we stayed. Nobody changed the towels despite us following the directions so we had to find them on our own. Our room (Billie) was on a busy street. Traffic & activity were loud. The room was stuffy and this prevented us from opening the windows. In addition our first night there was a party very close (felt like the apartment below us as we could hear people talking and loud music) and the party didn’t end until 5:45am! Needless to say, it was not a restful nor attentive stay.

Top location on the second floor above a beautiful piano store ! Close to the historic center with spacious and clean rooms. We were lucky there was an event that evening in the building, with beautiful jazz music.

We booked this stay at short notice because it looked fantastic, and on the whole it was. The property is an independent hotel which is what we like, and is very clean and well presented. The room we stayed in (Billie) was very nice, our bed was very comfy, but was 2 singles pushed together. There was air con and an adjacent communal refreshment area. The bathroom was very nice but needs a bit of an update (the shaving mirror was cracked and the light on it didn't work) The meats, cheese and fruit breakfast was very good with the eggs being cooked to order by the friendly staff. On any other week this room would have been perfect. Unfortunately the owners neglected to tell us the road outside had been dug up for drain replacement, and the road crews start work at 06:30 in the morning. Without exaggeration the whole building shook and the noise was unbearable as they jack hammered the road @ 06:42. This review could easily have been higher had we been given notice of how early the works started, but there was no mention of it, all we got when checking in was, "can you pay now" I now know why they were so keen on getting payment ! I would've happily changed hotel on day 2. This would have been a great place to return to other than I couldn't trust there not to be an issue that was being ignored.
