"Arriving on a cool and wet afternoon we were welcomed to a lovely, large, luxurious room with a beautiful mountain view and all the extras including sherry and towel warmer. I don't usually book breakfasts but on this occasion I did, and they were wonderful. A large spread and a different hot dish each morning with personal service by the Owner and her Team. Location is perfect. Close to everything but quiet, with plenty of parking. My perfect place in my perfect town."

"The room is perfectly clean, with new furniture, mattresses, and bedding. The reception staff is friendly and efficient in resolving any issues. However, I would like to address the room's design, which is very office-like. I believe that a brighter color scheme would make the room more inviting. Additionally, I feel sorry for your staff, as they are treated unfairly. The man outside is forced to stand on the porch all day to open the gate! Regardless of the weather, whether it is hot and sunny or cold and windy, he does not have a place to sit. Why don't you put him in a separate room where he can sit? And put a camera on the gate, so that when he sees a car approaching, he can open the gate. It's a simple solution! Doesn't the receptionist even have a chair? How is that possible? If she's tired or has swollen feet, how can she greet guests? It doesn't matter to the guest whether she's standing sitting. But it matters to her! Take better care of your staff, and they will return the favor! I really hope for positive changes in your hotel and for your employees!"

Our 11 year old fell in love with one of the Oakhurst horses and our littles loved being able to feed the chickens, donkeys and horses. We will definitely be back and hope to stay longer :)"

"Possibly the best hotel I have ever stayed in all things considered. Stunning value, an amazing chilled vibe somewhat like a country club or high-end home created by Frans, and an outstanding location. The grounds are extensive with a 2 k walk within them, and the most extraordinary flora and fauna. Breakfast was served al fresco, and the team had sugar water and bird food out so that the exotic and extraordinary birds were ever present; utterly charming and so relaxing. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and all have an outside balcony or seating area and views over the ocean. It is a great base for exploring Wilderness and just relaxing in the grounds or using the pool and soaking up the sun. All you can hear is birds, or cicadas at night, and the distant sound of crashing waves. I would return in a heartbeat."

"Beside Still Waters is such a beautiful & peaceful place to stay. The hosts Ronelle and Stephaan are very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the lovely cottage with 4 adults. It was very comfortable and clean. Enough space with a very nice veranda and a wonderful view of the Bo Langvlei lake. We enjoyed the amazing sunsets and birdsinging in the beautiful garden. Lots of nice things to do in the neighbourhood. Lovely beaches, the nearest is only a 5 minute drive. Very good restaurants. Nice hikes, birdwatch, kayaking. Great markets, on Wednessday @ Rondevlei and on Saturday @ Sedgefield. Highly recommended. We loved staying there. "
