Absolutamente não recomendável. Se cometerem o erro de ficar neste hotel atenção ao pequeno almoço que é muito escasso e tudo pouco fresco, atenção às invasões de formigas (vejam as vossa bagagem antes de sair ou levam um formigueiro para casa), não jantem pois vão cobrar-vos pelo peixe o valor de como se o mesmo tivesse sido pescado no mar do norte naquele instante e trazido para a vossa mesa mas na verdade é peixe congelado, piscina fria, sauna e turco tem que se pagar mais para poder usar, consumíveis de casa de banho do mais pobre que existe (levem tudo o que possam precisar), limpeza deficiente. Enfim, gerência sem escrúpulos, que visa ganhar independentemente da qualidade do serviço que é digno de um hotel de 3 estrelas e não de um de 5, este é de 5 mas duas são tão decadentes como este hotel. Claramente a evitar e se forem por favor RECLAMEM no livro os vossos descontentamentos. O nível da gerência vê-se bem pelo tipo de respostas que dão aqui aos comentários negativos, caluniando e agredindo gratuitamente os hóspedes descontentes.

Uma experiência a repetir. Decoração cuidada e com muito bom gosto. Cuidado com os pormenores que no final dão um resultado extraordinário.Os quartos são muito confortáveis e acolhedores. O atendimento muito simpático e atencioso. As experiências gastronómicas são fantásticas.

Je suis une grande voyageuse et je n’ai jamais été aussi déçue. Cet hôtel n’a rien d’un cinq étoiles, c’est une arnaque à plusieurs niveaux. Le service est mauvais et compliqué : la réceptionniste et le manager fantôme devraient travailler comme gardien de prison tellement la communication est difficile et antipathique, elles rendent tout très compliqué (impossible de se changer avant de récupérer la chambre, impossible de commander un verre de vin en room service, …). Ensuite l’hôtel : placé au bord d’une route très passante, on entend les voitures dans les chambres, sur la terrasse du petit déjeuner et à la piscine ! Le Carmo’s a été une expérience désastreuse et j’ai dû partir au bout de 2 jours pour sauver mes vacances. Ils ont refusé de rembourser les nuits inutilisées et avaient encaissé la totalité de la somme avant le séjour. Bref, c’est du vol, passez votre chemin et rayez cet hôtel de votre liste si vous voulez passer un séjour agréable au Portugal. Je recommande la Casas Da Lapa à la place !

Tudo é fantástico, tudo é lindo, tudo é um sonho! Ficamos no quarto suite e é lindo, espaçoso, charme. Excelente para um fim de semana de romance mas também com um bebé como foi o nosso caso, embora limitado o acesso ao spa (compreensível). Para dias especiais…

Have you ever pulled into a hotel and the second you get there- you feel like you should run away as fast as you can? Well- this is that kind of place. Book here at your own risk- I should have read the trip advisor reviews before booking and wasting money and time and aggravation 1- the reception was beyond un welcoming- we were not treated nice at check in and we appeared to be the only guests at the hotel 2-the hotel and grounds looked nothing like the photos advertised- 3- the room stunk and whatever industrial strength chemicals used to clean the room caused an immediate reaction to a skin breakout 4- the dining room was in the same lobby as check in and in everything smelled bad- like a bad roadside inn from 1964 in the poconos with the same depressing musty oder all around we ran out of the place within 5 minutes of arrival as it was run down/ smelled bad// was noisy and next to a main roadway and the staff was beyond rude at check in - it was a scary place that was no way close to what was promised on the false advertising website we booked for 2 nights- asked for a refund on one night and were laughed at - they told us go ahead and post a bad social media review- we dont care and that summed it up- they don't care stay here at your own risk- you have been warned!

I just wish I had read more reviews before booking this place, since everything the negative reviews describe is exactly right, especially in relation to the manager / owner’s attitude, poor value for money and general lack of quality in all the services provided. This is NOT a 5 star hotel. We encountered several problems including a faulty elevator, shower and AC, an ant invasion, extremely poor selection of foods for breakfast (on the second day the only cake served was the leftover of the previous day cake) - but the worst was the management lack of professionalism when politely confronted with these issues. She simply dismissed them and even lied when answering our google review saying the ant invasion was due to our child’s diapers (!) - not only we obviously didn’t have dirty diapers in our luggage, but also anyone with kids probably knows that ants are not attracted to dirty diapers! We were celebrating a special date which was ruined by this terrible experience.

We stayed at this quirky and luxurious hotel for 3 days while in the Minho region. This boutique hotel is high end with eccentric decor and top notch service. The hotel is centrally located, and the perfect location to explore the area. We dined in one night. Meal was traditional Portuguese and absolutely delicious. They make the dinner especially for you, and it did not disappoint. Morning breakfast was yummy with lots of hot and cold choices. Exploring the grounds was fun, especially visiting some of the owner’s personal collections. During the warmer season, the pool looks relaxing. The bed in our room was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Made me not want to get out of it!!! Room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff at the hotel were so wonderful and offered to tend to whatever need we may have had. If you’re in the area, you want to stay here. It is a truly unique gem, and you’ll feel like a welcome and distinguished guest. I cannot recommend enough!
