Stayed here for 6 nights whilst wife was in nearby hospital having major surgery - very convenient location about 15 mins by car to hospital, and also 15 mins walk to a bus route which took a further 15 mins to stop outside the hospital, so excellent for visiting. My room was at the rear on the first floor, and although the location is next to a very busy dual carriageway, and it was a busy bank holiday weekend, the room was extremely quiet. Apart from hearing people moving about in the corridor, I did not hear the sounds of people in adjoining rooms. The facilities were clean, there was endless milk, coffee sachets etc on offer by the staff, and a nice touch was the soft-close toilet seat (I have been to some much more expensive hotels where they are not present, and I don't even have one of these at home!) The staff were very happy, friendly, and extremely helpful, and the adjoining 'Greggs/Burger King/Subway' premises was convenient to nip over to for breakfast. Wi-fi was cheap, very strong and reliable.

Old Travelodge, smelt of mould, shower rails rusty, remote controls filthy, just needs a refurb. Location good and next to Greggs, Subway and a Petrol Station if you needed supplies. Ample parking. Receptionist on arrival was fantastic, the one when I left completely uninterested. Great to be able to top up tea/coffee in reception too. Please travelodge invest in your hotels!!!

This hotel is on a main road and nothing can be done about that, however the dual carriage way is currently closed overnight, so not only access is difficult after 8pm long diversions from one direction, the other way in you are guided in by a convoy vehicle. There is constant construction noise from the road surface being replaced including a constant beeping (like van reversing all night.) The hotel does know about it, how come there was no warning upon booking? I could have easily stayed at another Travelodge location nearby. Plus the car park was full of white vans to do with the resurfacing, making it tight to park. Add to this hotel is well out of date, did you know some locations still have actual keys and not key cards? This location does it shows how old this location is and how long since they have don a serious refurb. It also awful shower pressure, Bedroom clean but sparse. Worth no where near what they are charging per night even without the current construction noise.

Mark Is the best example of an employee I could imagine. He should be a regional manager with a pay rise easily very helpful regardless of time or conditions

Friendly and helpful staff. Good room, comfortable bed and plenty of brew kit. Would recommend and return if in area again.
